When I woke up Cara had me and Michael in chairs. She walked over to him.
"No! Noo!" I yelled crying. Michael just turned to me and said something I couldn't comprehend. I moved my chair closer to him while yellin, "Get away from him! I swear I'll kill you!" I yelled stills crying. I rocked my chair back as forth. The chair was weak. A leg broke and it toppled over, me landing face first on the ground. I worked my hand out of the rope she tied me up with, and then my other hand. I went and tried to grab Michael. I looked up and Cara was there. Then she wasn't. She just disappeared like she was just a part of the wind. I was scared, but what I needed to do was save Michael he sat there slouched in his chair blood dripping off his face.
"Michael?" I said weakly. I began to cry again. How weak.
"Maya help." He said quietly. I jiggled in my chair more and got my legs loose I untied the rope from around my chest and got out if the chair. I stood up and went next to Michael. I untied him and he fell into my arms. Damn he was heavy, but he was the one and I would do anything to keep that one alive. Then I thought. The dogs! I loved them and I wanted nothing to happen to them. I picked up Michael and we went quietly to our room. I grabbed the knife Cara had on the way. I locked the door quietly behind me and walked over to the dogs' crates. They were both asleep. I made sure they were asleep and not dead by petting then, they both lifted their heads and locked my hand. Then I shut the crate again, locked it, took their dog blanket and cover their crates. I put then under my bed and hoped they would keep quiet. I got Michael up on my bed and I looked at his face. He had a cut from the knife. Then I looked at his stomach. He'd been punched. The cut on Michaels face made him bleed a lot. I was scared, but I took a towel from the bathroom that was built into our room,
"Hold this to you face. I'm going to get help. I'll come back for you." I said. I have him a kiss on the head and began to walk slowly towards the door.
"Leaving won't help." It was Caras voice, but she was nowhere to be seen. I ran up to Michaels bed and guarded. She had to be in here.
"Cara, what is wrong with you?" I asked. I know stupid question right. Well just like in every horror movie the dumb blonde (me) has to go and make herself look even dumber. I waited for her echoey voice to come back, but everything was quiet except mine and Michael breathing. I looked around again and headed for the door. I unlocked the padlock and then the lock on the handle. When I opened the door Cara had a tray of dinner.
"DINNER TIME!" She yelled and the. There was a sudden pain in my stomach. She shoved the tray against it. The babies. Oh god. The babies. I began to cry. I balked up on the floor and held my stomach. Then I felt it, the blood dripping down my pants.
"Cara I'm going to kill you!" I ran up to Cara and hit her with the tray that fell to the floor after she hit me in the stomach. She fell on the ground and I went to stab her, but she disappeared. What is with all the disappearing? I walked over to Michael. My stomach hurt so bad. "Michael we need to call 911 right now!"
"I know Maya, where's the phone?" He said.
"Right outside the door."
"Go get it. I can't see the cut got my eye. You'll be ok." He said
"I know. I love you." I said
"I love you too." He said back. I went to the door opened it and grabbed the phone outside the door. I slammed the door shut and when I turned around Cara was sitting right on the bed perch. Like a cat. Her mouth opened wide and she screamed deeply. She lunged towards me and I smacked her down. I kicked her. Then she disappeared. I dialed 911 on the phone.
"911 what is your emergency?"
"She, she's here she's trying to kill us!"
"Where are you ma'am?"
"5476 willowood lane. Please help us!"
"We're on our way!" She said. Cara came out from under my bed and grabbed my feet. She pulled me down and had another knife she stabbed my stomach. I yelled and screamed I kicked Cara off and she disappeared. What is it with her and disappearing. I know the babies must me dead.
"Michael, they're coming."
"Who?"
"The police. We need to just stay in bed and wait."
"I'm game for that." He said kind of laughing. Cara kept coming back and hurting us. Every time I hit her she disappeared. Ten minutes later the cops showed up. 15 of them.
"Help! We're up here help us! Help us please!"
"We're coming!" yelled a man. We're safe. Or so we thought.
"Stay out don't move! Freeze! I said FREEZE!" then a gunshot went off. Then another and another. Cara showed up in our room with blood on her face and on her hands.
"There's no way out." She said. Somehow I knew that we weren't getting out of here. Then one last gunshot went off. It hit Cara straight through the head. Cara was standing right in front of Michael. It went through her and into him. I watched it, I watched the light go out of his eyes.
"No!" I yelled screaming as loud as I could.
"Michael no!!!!!" I yelled and screamed. Then the police officer busted in. With in a matter if minutes paramedics were there. More cops too. One of the two babies are fine. She two now. Her name is Mikayla. She looks so much like her father, Michael. He's dead.
It's been two years since the accident. My parents and the Mullvaneys are dead too. Plane crash. My life's falling apart. That's my story. And yes at the age of 17 I became a widdow, and to this day I still am.
