*knock, knock, knock*

Yeji waits patiently in front of the bedroom door, smiling sheepishly at the grim looking brunette beside her. Clearing her throat, she knocks once more, but the action proves futile as the noise is just far too loud on the other side.

"Yeji, she can't even hear you."

Lia says seriously, arms crossed over her chest. She doesn't give Yeji time to come up with an excuse as she barges into the room, the door swinging so harshly open that it bangs against the cupboard behind it - but even that isn't loud enough to overpower the drums Blake is so passionately banging on.

For a moment the pair stand in the presence of the rhythmic sounds Blake is creating, because despite the noise she is pretty good at the instrument, but as it carries on, Lia loses her patience.

"BLAKE !"

Yeji physically jumps back at the shockingly loud volume of Lia's voice that is able to halt Blake's drumming.

"Oh ?" she rests her hands on her thighs, holding the sticks in one hand as she runs the other through her messy orange hair. "What's up unnies ?"

Blake smiles sweetly at the two older girls standing in her doorway, but as she receives no answer and just an apologetic look from the blonde, and an annoyed glare from the other, Blake's smile slowly starts to fade.

"What did I do ?"

Sighing heavily to calm herself down, Lia steps forward. "Blake, I know you love these drums, and I know you've only had them for a week but," her glare gets switched to the instrument now. "They're too loud !"

"Well," the younger looks down, and gently hits the stick on one of the drums with a chuckle. "It's not necessarily a soft sounding instrument."

"What Lia is trying to say Jinnie, is that maybe it's a little too loud to have in the dorm." Yeji says now, joining Lia's side again.

"Maybe ?" Lia gives an incredulous look to the blonde beside her, who in turn raises her brows slightly as if telling her to watch her next words. "They're way too loud for the dorm. I can't focus on anything that I do, because you're literally playing every free hour of the day,"

Lia walks further to stand in front of the drum set, and she tries to ignore the ache she feels in her heart when the youngers eyes start to droop slightly at the corners.

"And although you're really good at them B, why don't you switch to the ones with headphones ?"

Blake tosses the sticks behind her on her unmade bed as she sighs. "They're way too expensive," she gives the set a saddened look now, guilt starting to swirl inside her chest. "But I should've considered my surroundings before buying this."

Lia nods in agreement as she comes around to wrap a forgiving arm around Blake's shoulders, rubbing her bare arm soothingly.

"Sorry guys."

"It's okay," Lia says, laying her head on Blake's. "But they gotta go B."

Chuckling softly, the younger nods slowly. "I'll talk to manager-nim in finding a buyer for them."

The two girls nod, and Yeji feels lighter now that Lia is no longer looking upset with the younger. "And save the money, and later on you can work towards buying the other ones."

Despite knowing it's a long way to go, Blake nods her head, determined to work hard towards a more sufficient drumset.
