▹ realisation.

I have had zero motivation to write the break up chapter, and I'm so sorry, but for now I'm going to skip over it. I'm too eager to move on, and I've had this chapter sitting in the drafts for far too long !!

I will write the break up chapter...eventually.

Nevertheless, I still hope you're enjoying Blake's story and all that comes with it :)

Blake never felt the need to put a label on her sexuality, simply because she's young, and incredibly curious and open-minded. However, she's only ever been attracted to the opposite sex, never really coming across a girl she sees in a different light.

But today, on this very night, at this very concert, it all changed.

"Jinnie ?" Yeji notices the girl's uncanny quiet demeanor in the waiting room. "Are you okay ?"

With a bouquet clutched tightly to her chest, Blake's eyes were trained on the ground as the last 2 hours played through her head. She's good friends with all the Idle members, and she loves them all equally - but for some reason, one stood out and continuesly caught Blake's eye throughout the whole show. Her aura was so mesmerizing that her solo performance had Blake seeing stars. It felt as if Aphrodite herself was doing was she does best on that stage; reel everyone in with her natural beauty.

The aftermath just has Blake stumped.

"Is it just me," she blinked slowly as her chin rested carefully on the pink roses. "Or did Shuhua seem...different."

Blake is so deep in thought she doesn't even notice the presence beside her.

"A good different I hope." a voice says in her hear, making her jump up and clutch the bouquet closer to her now racing heart.

There beside her, stood the very person she had been thinking so deeply about, the person she is suddenly seeing in a whole new light now. Blake always thought Shuhua was beautiful, and it's no different now, except, this time, her beauty is beginning to make a shy feeling swirl in her stomach.

"Of course ! You were amazing Shushu, as always." Blake puts on a cool front and ignores the harsh thumping of her heart.

Shuhua's eyes light up at the compliment, a warm blush kissing the apples of her cheeks. "Thanks B !"

Blake is momentarily thrown off guard when she throws her arms around her neck, and Blake has to act quick in placing her arms around Shuhua's waist so that they didn't squish the flowers. Shuhua hugs her tightly to her chest, greatful for Blake bending slightly due to the height difference.

"Here," Blake pulls away when she feels her heart is going far too fast, and surely Shuhua would feel it against her own chest. She hands her the bouquet with a sweet smile.

"Hey, I thought those were for-"

A sharp step on Yuna's foot halts her sentence, and Chaeryeong is sure to give her a pointed look. The flowers were, in fact, for the whole group. Of course Ryeong being the ever so observant best friend had noticed immediately Blake's shifted attitude towards the Idle maknae, and she'd be damned if she didn't do her part as best friend and play wing-woman.

"Unnie," creeping up, Chaeryeong peeks her head out from over Blake's shoulder, a bright yet secretly mischievous smile on her face. "Do you maybe have a day off this week ?"

Shuhua seems to think for a moment, until Soyeon calls out in answer, stating the group had Friday and the weekend off, before they left Korea to take on the rest of their tour.

"Omo !" dramatic Chaeryeong kicks in, her eyes round like ovals and her hands over her mouth, feigning shock. "Wah, that's the same day Jinyeongie wanted to go pet shopping !"

"What-"

"But the members and I have individual plans so no one can go with her." Chaeryeong frowned deeply, although inside she was all giddy as she baited Shuhua.

Truth be told, Blake had indeed planned to visit the pet shop, but not alone. Her brother agreed to come along.

"Oh ? You're planning to get a pet ?" Shuhua raises her brows at Blake, who was desperately trying to hide a scowl she wanted to give the girl behind her.

She nods, putting on a smile instead.

"Yah, Shuhua, why don't you go with Blake ?"

Three heads whip to the side to see Yuqi smirking at the pair in conversation, a suspicious glint in her eye. Chaeryeong claps her hands once in agreement, nodding rather enthusiastically at the idea.

"Yes ! You should ! Otherwise our Blakey has to go all alone." another overdramatic frown, and this time Blake doesn't hold back as she twists around to sneer at the girl over her shoulder.

"Sure, I'll come along," Blake was sure she felt a crack in her neck with the way she quickly turned to stare back at Shuhua. "If you don't mind, of course." she smiles, the sight making Blake want to coo and pinch her cheeks.

"Of course she'd want-"

Fed up with her wing-woman, Blake twists around to clasp a hand over Chaeryeong's mouth that just couldn't keep shut for one second. She glares into the girls eyes, and Chaeryeong can be seen physically reeling back in apology.

Yuna comes in to quickly defuse the situation. "Unnie, let's go take some pictures with the members, yeah ?" cautiously the maknae pulls Chaeryeong away from a still glaring Blake.

She's sure to have a word with her later when they're alone.

"You'll text me the details ?" for the second time Blake is startled by Shuhua, the girl a lot closer than before now. She bumps her shoulder gently against Blake's, her deep browns twinkling as they stare up at the taller girl.

"I will." Blake smiles with a nod.

The pair get called over for pictures, and with the bouquet wrapped in one arm, Shuhua grabs ahold of Blake's hand with her free one, and pulls her along towards the rest of the girls.
