Hermione had just finished plating breakfast for Rose when the floo roared to life and Harry, followed closely by Theo, quickly joined them in the kitchen.

She squeaked in surprise when Harry immediately wrapped her in a hug.

"I'm so sorry," he whispered."I might actually kill him one day, I swear, Hermione."

"How do you-" she started, taken aback.

"Malfoy popped by Theo's after your date... and I was there."

"Yeah," said Theo, helping himself to several links of sausage and sitting next to Rose. "And Malfoy was ready to put the motherfu-" Hermione glared with a pointed glance towards Rose and Theo quickly altered his sentence. "-ungus straight into the ground because that's... where they go."

Harry snorted. "Brilliant."

"I think you three talk about me too much," she said lightly, beginning to wash the dishes from the previous night. "I can't possibly be that interesting."

Theo and Harry shrugged and she rolled her eyes.

"How was the date besides your s-h-i-t ex?" Theo asked, looking chuffed at remembering to spell out the cuss word.

Hermione bit her bottom lip to hide a smile and didn't turn around. "It... it was good."

"And?"

"And what?"

Theo groaned. "We had to practically-"

Harry cleared his throat.

"I had to practically drag the details out of Draco."

"Did he not want to talk about it?" Hermione asked hesitantly, scrubbing the same dish now for third time.

Theo snorted. "After he decided not to commit manslaughter, he had this stupid grin on his face when I asked. What this about a goblin king?"

"David Bowie," she said with a short laugh. "We watched the Labrynth."

Harry sighed. "I will not be watching that with you, Theodore."

Theo gasped, affronted. "Why not?"

"Because all you're going to want to talk about is the bloke's large c-o-"

Fortunately a knock on the door ended that discussion and Hermione quickly dried off her hands before making her way over.

When she opened the door however, she was happily surprised and suddenly shy to see Malfoy on the stoop.

He looked a bit bashful, his smile looking more like a grimace as he ran a hand through his hair.

"I know I asked if you could call but I was anxious to see how you were doing... maybe I could take you and Rose out for breakfast... or lunch? If that's-"

"Oi is that my favorite c-o-c-k-s-u-c-"

"Theo!" she scolded, turning back to the kitchen but not closing the door so Malfoy could follow.

Hermione really wanted to smile though. Having someone looking out for her and Rose - taking the time out of their day to check in... it felt... nice.

However with three wizards now in the kitchen, the room was noticeably cramped.

Rose's eyes widened when she saw Malfoy.

"Draco!" Rose yelled excitedly, her fork loudly falling onto her plate. "Mummy! Draco came back!"

"He decided to pop by for a visit," she said softly, kissing the top of her head before returning to the sink.

"Good morning, Rose," said Malfoy warmly.
