Alright, let's dive into some history on this flag.
I'm going to split this into Ancient and Anton LaVey.

Anton LaVey

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The religion/belief of Satanism was created/brought to light by Anton LaVey in the 1950s/60s. He taught people of his religion and beliefs using the Church of Satan.
LaVey taught people of kindness to those who deserve kindness, love, and self-worth/self-love. He believed that anger was essential for survival, and they were not bad. He believed that a Satanist was someone who loved themself, treated others with kindness if they so deserved it, and loved all others no matter what, almost like how a parent should be with unconditional love. He was mesmerized by a human's sense of self-worth and egotistical nature.
Anton LaVey is called The Father of Satanism
because before the Church of Satan and The Satanic Bible, there is no mention in any documents in history of Satanism like he puts it in such a philosophical way.
There will be a chapter about Anton LaVey himself later on. There will also be one about The Satanic Bible, but I want to read it myself before I create the chapter, so that might be the last chapter in this story.
Ancient
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What I'm about to mention isn't the type of Satanism I've been talking about, but I thought it was worth mentioning. The old type of Satanism worshipped the Devil/Satan, and it is what has caused so many biased and misguided opinions on the type of Satanism I've been talking about.

So, Satanism's bad misrepresentation spans from medieval times and further. I think you know what I'm talking about.

Witches.

Yes, I know what modern witches are like. Most of them are sweet and kind in my biased opinion, but in my unbiased opinion, witches aren't like they were called in the medieval times.

You see, modern witches are more spiritual than ritualistic. They like to collect crystals, maybe brew potions out of herbs and spices, and meditate. It isn't a ritual thing, more of a spiritual thing.

Medieval witches were either misunderstood, evil, or actually worshipped Satan.

We all know about misunderstandings and sexism in the ancient times. Women and men who didn't abide by laws were called witches. A notable example of this is the story of Rachel Clinton, a woman with a somewhat bad personality who was divorced. She was called a witch for her attitude.

Here goes to say, the Salem witch trials were not very smart indeed.

Even though most witch trials were misunderstood or not very clever, there were some actually evil witches who worshipped the devil.

But all of these misunderstandings and actually bad witches are what has caused Satanism to have a bad name in the modern world.

Anyways, I thought it was worth mentioning what caused Satanism to have such a bad reputation.

The next chapter will either be on some more history, the Church of Satan, or Anton LaVey. Which one would you like best?
