at the studioJay sat on the studio couch, smoking his fifth blunt of the day. He sat there nodding his head at the music that DD and D-Dot had been in the booth making. The music stopped after a while, making Jay watch DD and D-Dot walk out the booth with wide smiles around their mouths.
"When y'all wanna drop that?" The producer questioned. DD started talking with the producer about a release date while D-Dot and Jay shared a blunt, slouching on the couch.
D-Dot took a few hits from the blunt, passing it back to Jay. "You talked to that girl after leaving the club last night?" D-Dot questions.
Jay declined, using his lighter to burn the blunt a little more. "I tried to FaceTime her.. but she ain't answer. I don't really care about it because she not mines." D-Dot did an understanding nod as he took the blunt back from Jay.
"But you did see that video I posted of us on Instagram last night?" Jay mentioned with a sneaky smile around his mouth. D-Dot snickered as he agreed with knowing about the video. "You had niggas messaging me on there talking about what you was on." They both laughed together as Jay finished the last bit of the blunt.
The video Jay put on his Instagram story had everyone in suspicion. All his friends had been texting him, asking if she was his girlfriend, and if she was then why was Jay hiding her from the bros?
It didn't matter because he cleared everything up the morning after. Jay wrote on his IG story, saying that she wasn't his girlfriend and she was someone he randomly met at the club. After posting that, he hadn't heard about the incident since then.
"If you don't want her then send her this way." Jay playfully hit D-Dot in the arm. They sat there laughing momentarily until Jay heard his phone ringing. He looked at the screen to see the contact name say Enya, his eyes widened as he automatically answered it without thinking twice.
Jay put his face in the camera, seeing Enya standing in her kitchen with a smile around her mouth. "Why you ain't wanna answer when I called you?" Jay questioned as he was attempting to start a conversation between them. "I was dealing with something important.. what about you? I texted you this morning." Jay laughed at her explanation as he leaned back on the couch.
"I was dealing with something important too. Now we even.." Enya chuckles at him. Jay watches her walk around the kitchen, pulling cooking ingredients out of the cabinets. "You boutta cook something?" Jay inquires. Enya hummed in agreement as she turned her camera to show herself standing at the stove.
"What you cooking? Maybe you can make me a plate.. niggas a lil' hungry." Enya snickers at his sentence.
"I'm making chicken and steak stir-fry. And if you play nice then I might come by and give you and ya lil' friends a plate." She says. Jay was about to utter another sentence, but D-Dot snatched his phone before Jay could even get the words out his mouth.
"Who little? Ima demon out in these streets, ya heard!" Enya laughs at D-Dot. She could then see the camera moving around as Jay was attempting to take his phone back by playing around with D-Dot. "Fuck is you doing? Give me my phone!" Jay shouts from a distance. Enya smiles widely as she hears D-Dot laughing loudly, he then put his face in the camera as he was taunting Jay from afar.
"Ima kiss ya girl! You like Sugarhill niggas, ma?"
Enya laughs. "No! You too young lil' boy.." D-Dot sucked his teeth. When he was about to say something, Jay came over and snatched his phone back from D-Dot. Enya could hear the teenager talking shit in the background as Jay put his face back in the camera while breathing heavily from chasing D-Dot around.
"My bad, mama. He be playing too much sometimes.." Jay says.
Enya reassures him that it was fine. "I actually liked seeing y'all play around like that, I couldn't even focus on cooking because I was laughing so much." Jay slightly smiled after hearing that. He then walked back in the studio, starting to talk to DD about when he should get in the booth to record his verse for their song.
"Ima call you back in a minute.. I gotta record this song. Ima send my lo so you can pull up after you get done cooking, ight?" Jay exclaims.
Enya hummed. Jay then hung the phone up, and Enya was now in kitchen with nothing but the sound of food sizzling.
She sighed, knowing that Kay would kill her if he found out that she was talking to Jay after being warned to not speak to him again. Enya felt as if she was being held hostage by Kay and they weren't even dating.
After a while of thinking, Enya heard her phone ringing. She turned her head to see that Kay was FaceTiming her. Enya answered it and the camera shown Kay sitting in a smoky living room with faint music in the background.
"What you doin, ma?" He questions.
"Cooking, what about you?" She replies. He then sways his camera around the room to show her that he was hanging around Dougie and Set, smoking blunts and listening to music like they always do.
Dougie turned to the camera, waving at Enya as he blown the toxic fumes into the air. "What up!" Dougie shouted since he was sitting on the far end of the couch. "Hey, Douglas B." Enya says as she waved back at him through the camera.
"These niggas boring.. I'm bout to come over." Kay announces. Enya became a bit a scared as she remembered that she was supposed to meet with Jay to chill with him. Now Kay is about to come over to do what? What kind of question is that? All he's about to do is come over to get some pussy and leave like he did last time.
"You think you got unlimited access to my crib, huh?" Enya questioned.
She wanted to stay cool, not wanting to make Kay feel any suspicion if she changed her behavior. He snickered as he was hitting a blunt then blowing the smoke into the camera, fogging it up slightly.
"Of course, once I dick you down then what's yours is mines.."
