at Jay's apartment
4 : 35AM
Harlem , New YorkEnya opens her eyes. She yawned as she gently turns her head, glaring over at Jay who seemed to be sound asleep.
She makes a gentle smile as she removes herself from the bed. She wraps her body around in a nearby blanket as she searches the floor for her clothes.
Once she found her clothes, she takes her phone and walks into the bathroom.
Enya turns on the shower and decides to check her phone until the water warmed up a bit. She scrolled through her notifications to see messages from her bestfriend and missed calls from Kay.
Enya bit her lip in nervousness as her thumb hovers over the tab. Should she call him? That was the only thing circulating her mind. But she didn't want to betray Jay's trust again. But again, she didn't want Kay to have any animosity towards her.
She sighs as she finally makes up her mind.
She was going to call him...
Once she got home, of course.
Enya sets her phone down on the sink counter. She drops the blanket wrapped around her body and steps into the shower.
All she wanted to do was wash away her problems and start the day fresh.
—20 minutes later
Enya walks to the front door quietly, making sure Jay doesn't wake up as she leaves.
Once she successfully made it to the door, she hurried and left without making any ruckus. She speed walks down the hall as she kept turning around to make sure she wasn't being followed.
She lets out a relieved breath after making it to the elevator. Enya throws her head back on the elevator wall as she started to think about how stressful these last few days have been.
But the stress was kind of worth it. She made up with Jay, and now it was Kay's turn.
She wanted to be friendly with both sides, not just one. And this time she really had to keep these relationships a secret, or it might be worse than last time.
Enya had finally made it out the apartment building. The fresh morning air hit her. She pulls out her phone to call Maia, she realized after leaving out the building, she needed a ride home.
After five rings, Maia finally answered.
"Girl what do you want? It's early as fuck.." Maia says in a tired tone. Enya smacks her teeth as she proceeds to say what she needed. "I need a ride home!" She says.
Maia groans in annoyance. "I don't even wanna know why you need a ride this early.. here I come." Enya smiles widely as she begins to thank her bestfriend.
"Thank you, babes!" Enya says before Maia hung up the call.
Enya sat down on the porch as she cradled her body, bracing herself for the morning breeze.
10 minutes went by and she saw her bestfriend's car coming up the street. Enya stood up, immediately running to the car once it stopped in front of her.
