Nobody's Business

Scrolling on Instagram Cassie sighs saying, "I feel like this isn't good enough." I look up acknowledging her, "No Cas that's cute! Trust me, I'll do your hair and it will put it all together." Cassie smiles.

 I put down my phone as Cassie starts talking about who's going, "I heard Matthew might be going" I peep at her staring at me, I brushed on blush telling "Oh that's nice, we can catch up then maybe." She looks at me with suspicion, I haven't seen him in so long, I rolled my eyes because I'd be an idiot if I talked to him.

"The Uber is here!" Cassie grabs her purse and runs to the door, "I'm coming!" I yell out. The Uber smelt like rich cologne and fresh, as I rub my hands against the leather complimenting his car. The driver looks over at me and says "Thank you" I notice a tattoo on the front of his neck, and I look over at the wheel staring at the tattoos all along his arm. I let out a smile "What are you smiling at?" Cassie asks. shaking my head I look out the window waiting to arrive at Joselyn's house.

"Thank you!" Cassie gets out quickly, As I grab my belongings quickly the Uber driver quickly says "Maybe me and you can take a drive, Not as your Uber driver." "Maybe." I say giggling, "Have fun." I wave and smile at him. I walk towards the house listening to the music pounding, as I walk inside I feel even more confident since a guy hit on me and I didn't even walk into the party yet. "Hey, Y/n!!" I hear Jocelyn yell.

1 hour into the party Damien stops me, "Didn't know you'd come" "Well it's Jocelyn's party so." "Yeah, I invited my friends, I'm not letting my sister have a party and I'm not there... You looking good tonight" I smile putting my drink to my lips, "Look, I don't want things to be awkward between us." "It's not..." I say "What I mean is that you are Jocelyn's friend and I assume we'll see each other more." "Yeah... She already knows." He pauses awkwardly, "Oh" "Yeah! I'll see you around though Damien" I quickly walk away from that conversation and walk to another.

My phone buzzes as I lift it to see Cassie: 'Come upstairs' Everything good? I write, I walk my way upstairs knocking on the doors to see where Cassie is, I open the door to see her rummaging through her purse, "Do you have my FireBall shot" "Yeah" "Oh thank god." I pass it to her as she walks towards me, Sticking her tongue out exciting the room, I take another drink whilst turning around. "Damien, don't sneak up on me like that" I laugh, He looks at my lips checking me out, Soon enough he was cupping my face and kissing me. I did not move because he is a pretty good kisser, He kicks the door close and lays his hands on my ass, I move away from his face looking at him and saying "What are you doing?" "I just really wanted to kiss you." "What if somebody walked in on us?" He rolls his eyes at my comment, "Yeah cya." I say leaving.

I notice Matthew talking to some of Damien's friends, Like the idiot I am I walk past him forcing eye contact, Smelling his cologne and shampoo.

I move my hair out of my face walking to get another drink.  "Hey Y/n." Matthew greets, setting his hands in the pockets of his jeans, Oh god. "Hey, Matty." I take a look at his sliver chain peeking on his neck. "How have you been?" Matthew asks, "Good actually." "That's good" "How's Lily?" I ask, "We broke up." "Oh shit sorry." "No it's good, We're just on friendly terms. And it was like months ago." I snarl silently at that. "Wanna take a shot?" "No I'm good I gotta drive home" He smiles.

We both head outside seeing Jocelyn and Damien arguing, "Arguing at your party?" Matthew jokes, I giggle. Jocelyn looks over at Matthew, "Shut up Matthew. Y/n you talk to him he seems to listen to you a lot lately." I look at her then Damien, Matthew looks at Jocelyn irritated then at me, "Well I guess he just having a hard time listening to people lately." I insult, locking eyes with Damien, "King's here!!" Jocelyn squeals, I leave with Jocelyn leaving Damien and Matthew for "Bromance".

After an hour or so I find Cassie nowhere, I called her phone twice, but it led straight to voicemail. "Hey, have you seen Cassie?" I ask around, Somebody said they had seen her upstairs, Just hoping I don't get trapped with Damien, Again. "Cass- oh sorry" It's Matthew. "No it's okay, I was just on the phone." He turns his body towards me, I gently close the door. "You and Damien?" Matthew asks with hesitation "Did he tell you that?" I roll my eyes, Matthew walks towards me.
