"Gguk, why are you pacing?" Yoongi asks, finally acknowledging his friend in the room who seems to be anxious since he walked into his room a few minutes ago. He sometimes wonders why  he ever gave Jeongguk a key.

He finally stops moving, "I don't know what to do, hyung."

"Well, maybe you can start working on the assignment—"

"No! You don't get it!" Jeongguk takes a seat on Yoongi's bed, right next to him.

"Then explain it to me kid," Yoongi says, putting his full attention on the boy.

Jeongguk takes a breath in before explaining, "You see, I asked Tae hyung to go to the arcade with me, as in, like a date."

"Why would you choose the arcade for a date?"

"That's not the point!" Jeongguk shushes him. "Anyways, so I asked him out and told him, Hey, what if we went to the arcade this Friday? And he said yes."

"Isn't that a good thing?"

"It is...but...he didn't know I meant as in a date  so he asked me if he could invite another friend of his tomorrow," Jeongguk goes quiet, and Yoongi already knows what it means.

"You let him, didn't you?"

"I didn't have the courage to say no and explain it was supposed to be a date!"

Yoongi sighs, "So you're just going to go through it? Turn it into a hangout?"

"Well, actually...I was thinking about something."

Oh no.

The five words that Yoongi dreads most coming out of Jeongguk's mouth is I was thinking about something.

Don't get him wrong, Jeongguk is one of the smartest people he knew so it isn't him thinking  the problem, but rather the something.

"What is it?" Yoongi asks wearily.

"What if you...tagged along?"

Yoongi gazes at him, frowning in confusion, "How would that help?"

Jeongguk sighs, "If you came along, then you could hang out with Taehyung hyung's friend."

It takes a couple seconds before Yoongi finally gets it.

He knew he should've stopped listening as soon as Jeongguk said he thought of something.

"You want me to fill in as a double date?," Yoongi questions.

"Well, if you put it that way..." He mutters in response.

It's only been two weeks since his last date and two weeks is far too short of a break before another one.

"Jeongguk, you know dating isn't my fort."

"Yeah, yeah, because love is too complicated and you don't have the time or energy for relationships or whatever but  it's just one night! And you don't have to see it as a date!"

"Why can't you ask the others then?"

"Hoseok hyung and Seokjin hyung are already taken so it'd be weird and others  will probably say they are busy that day."

"What if I'm busy too?" Yoongi retorts (he's not, Fridays are the one day of the week he chooses to be unproductive).

"Doing what?"

"...Uh, bowling?" It's not a believable lie, and really Jeongguk would never fall for such an excuse, but it's an excuse nonetheless.

"Cool. There's a bowling alley near the arcade. You can go there with hyung's friend," Jeongguk deadpans.
