Did you ever hear of an Ole Mill on the farm South of here in Snow Peace Town? It's been rumored there may be a Ghost living there. Call it obscure or not, established in early 1,600s. To be certain life journey takes us to many things to observe and witness it in order to decide our feelings about it.
The story came by telegraph Herald, telling of talking, laughing, and some old-time music coming from down inside the place. When a nearby neighbor went up to the sight among five other people and looked in on the property. Really checking it out trying to figure out if someone had been living in their uninvited squatting taking over without being an owner.
Because if you're there for so many months automatic ownership. No Trespassing Please, there are highly respectable ghost hunters going to check for Ghosts. On this day, observation Threshold Ghost Observation Team, is standing taking an oath for the Snow Peace Amish Village.
Included in this lineup are Theodore Bontrager, James Bontrager, and Ashlyn Troyer, Margret Troyer, Clara Bontrager, Alice Bontrager and on the team ready to do a duty to survey the Ole Mill.
Holding their right hand up, saying it aloud. As they did left hand on a large Bible, reciting from a chalkboard in the room. When done put on a badge, identification and receive legal papers to on your person folded.
Sheriff Peter shook hands with each of them, then dismissed them to go to work. " I will come up daily or one of my Deputies to give directions and filter through any necessary groundwork set to complete a discovery and document made out and turned in for an investigation inquiry.
A large white van bus a new Ford, on top a compass for ghost hunting. Theodore drove slowly, into the terrain leading into the Prairie woods, James held a map giving directions to the ole mill up in an old mountain area still part of Snow Peace Village.
Setting back buckled up ready to go a ghost hunting. Were Alice, Clara, Margret and Ashlyn, ready to devote their time to this particular Monument suspected of being spooked?
Dressed in Amish clothes yet a bit hippy to go along with it. Prepared to go and look into each and anything to get down to the bottom of
Whether it be a ghost or what is here.
" All investigation operations ready to be started to go search, ghost hunting sign in ", James Bontrager.
The hour was eight in the morning and looked clear sky, light blue no clouds. Humid, warm, and thankfully a clean Pond not too deep to take a dip if necessary. Today clothes dry fast on the body. And we had towels to dry off in our van.
Tomorrow will be sure to wear a modest swimsuit underneath clothes. Packed coolers full of soda, bottled water, and Sandwiches, relish tray , cookies.
James pulled out a gigger counter , heading to the ole Mill, Theodore brought audio monitors to hear ghosts and Ashlyn , Margret, Clara and Alice carried in video cameras around our necks. To video tape the experience just about to take place.
The Ole Mill door opened with ease, Theodore held it open for the rest of us, we walked underneath his arm inside. Dark inside except for sun streaming in through the windows , and birds flying around loose landing about to set and rest, some bird nests .
" Hello we are friendly not foe ," Alice spoke out , called reaching out to your ghost, letting them in on you being here in their space to observe them.
" Please try connecting with us together and try letting us know by hearing you voices come through in our special audio microphone," Alice continued talking , forwarding a message about them reconnecting with the outside world. And usually they become very excited the ghost does or anenity , cells Gathering together forms a ghost a being.
The gigger counter picks up the energy of cells gathered there. The sweep started using the audio microphone, and gigger counter to find cells in the place. There were old furniture left and clean inside from house keeping. They sat on some couches, quiet like ," Haha loooolooo," There it is ," Clara observed. " Ma ma, hi," Wow this is amazing," Theodore said . " Listen ," James whispered, while pointing upward. " Sigh , sigh , are you there? Voices of the ghost inside this area right under the sky light.
" There's so much activity going on I'm afraid to move ," James whispered. " Yes right, let's stay out here for today," Whispered Ashlyn .
" I agree ," Clara whispered. " There tis again."
" Hopeeee, seees, alllll , things real from Heaven ."
" It's here locked awaaay."
Silence , walking , foot steps , door opens shuts , Ghost.
Sitting here an hour listening and ghost screening using a camcorder used to pick up , octave frequencies photography. Ashlyn very good at taking videos of ghost cell clusters.
Margret , took video pictures of lighted objects , ultra Violet insuring not to miss any tiny cell detail of a anitaty . She feels so positive
About this all happening this morning.
Yet to come a spiral staircase , leading to upstairs, walls light green , pieces of plaster worn off because of age , no cab webs , a house keeper comes to keep it up. " Be so careful, while climbing," Theodore said concerned for the safety of us all. " Yes ," came back as a response to his directives.
Upstairs, antique trunks, sat displayed around the place. Old modest Amish dolls , no face to display plain not fancy. Dressed all in dark blue wearing a white apron and black bonnet barefoot some them , others wore white anklets and black ankle boots.
Chest of drawers in dark mahogany, some bedsteads, kept together with twine knotted. Many more boxes yet to go through. Yet for the time being they must call it a day leaving for home.
Tired except happy, packed up the Ghost hunter devices , and video cameras, carrying them out to the Van. By the time things packed up , they must eat supper .
Decided to eat at Ashlyn and Margrets house, everybody jabbered at once . " Today has been such a great start , hearing ghost chatter," Alice said all happy about it.
" Right for once it happens right a way within the hour. Give Thanks to all gut timing ," Margret said. " And the Ole Mill is amazing inside wow?" Ashly said.
Clara thought ," It's been kept up so clean."
" More then not , it should turn out to be a good read of identifying ghost sounds , putting a sound to a name," James chimed in. Anxious to eat supper, so hungry.
The Van slowed down as it turned into the Bontrager farmstead. Inside they all made themselves at home up in the apartment. Making room to be seated at the table , they had picked up large pizzas and are eating them so delicious. Two large pitchers of lemonade.
Kicking back together, tomorrow back to Bakery life , three days a week other days spent investigating ghosts. It will go for us all , regularly worked job , second job Ole Mill job ghost hunting.
The main focus and objective is to find traces of a Ghost or Ghosts. This is a Crew to do it with , as we know it today during a search of the Ole Mill, an abandoned place so beautiful.
Margret poured everyone more coffee, and sugar cookies. " These such gut cookies and then chocolate coffee to go with to dip in," Theodore.
James taking a Handful of cookies, sipping coffee. " The best cookies and Kaffi ever ."
" I'm going to make soft sugar cookies when we get home Clara , these are the best by the way , Ashlyn and Margret."
They all left at seven , Theodore and James taking them home in a horse and buggy . Talking as they drove , the ladies lived among the Eshes , family from around here a hundred years . Theodore and James even knew their boyfriends Alice goes with Caleb , Clara goes with Von , Caleb's Braudaar.
Soon they found their house set out on their Parents farm , and next to the Mennonite school. Very pretty surroundings around the place, hibiscus flowers, violets,cat tails, to name a few , lots of tall, tall Evergreen Trees.

Then home our horse and buggy drove by the hand of Theodore, James a passenger, turned Clyde a big gray Belgium towards the road to home , he knows the way. Off towards home, such a lovely Spring evening.
Ashlyn and Margret , bathed then dressed for bed in night gowns. Before though set up filing their nails , hands and feet, " I look forward to working in our Bakery tomorrow , aren't you Margret ?
Margret said ," Yes , I certainly am , knowing I can bake all I want to and sell them and bake more." They both laughed ," Today has been more fulfilling then anything I've yet to experienced," Margret said to Ashlyn.
" I know, of nothing in a life time yet to experience till today, it has changed my life for the better," Ashlyn said. " The next thing is to start the Journal about The Ole Mill, the logistics of it all," she said thoughtfully.
" There's more to come, information that is, books to go through upstairs in the ole Mill. Plus boxes unknown to us what they are of treasures," Margret said excitedly.
The Bakery busy today as folks lined up to eat lunch, after just slowing down from earlier bakery buyout sweet rolls, donut, cinnamon rolls. Lunch soup and sandwiches, soda pop, two-hour lunchtime, clean up,
This time of day is when all the loaves of bread are bought, buns, hoagie buns, coffee cake, Amish Kolaches, and Birthday Cakes. Wedding cake orders taken usually one a week.
And cupcakes, it is a daily grind to be enjoyed.
Closing at four in the afternoon, then upstairs to relax and take a nap before supper time. The ceiling fan on spinning round putting off cool breezes. Awww it felt so gut, both that felt wonderful and good.
Before long, Clara and Alice cleared the schedule in their office for the job of Ghost hunting. Each of us have our own desk and a chair, computer, lap top. Today down load the Ghost hunting notes and extra thoughts. Pictures from the Ole Mill, download videos, and audio of them speaking.
The doorbell rang," Hmm who could it be at this early hour? Alice said to Clara. They walked out of the office into the forure, down stairs to get the front door. Caleb and Peter Esh, boyfriends, are both off work today.
" Oh hi Peter, do step in ," Clara said smiling they hugged.
" I brought Donuts fresh from your family bakery back in town," Peter said handing her a package.
" Dankee, Peter," Clara said taking them to the kitchen, please follow me Peter to eat and drink kaffi.
Caleb hugged Alice he brought sausage biscuit sandwiches and a jug of orange juice. Alice hugged him then, taking the sack of biscuits, while he carried the orange juice.
They all sat around the dining room table, eatting and sipping kaffi, having good laughs over past double dates together. Peter and Caleb Braudaars, Fater Preacher Esh. They always had such fun times out together.
Tonight out to roller skate to the town roller skating rink . Then after cheese burgers and fries, and colas . " Fun Skate matinee , three to six first matinee, Peter and Clara put their own skates on brought them in a case. Caleb and Alice brought theirs slipped them on and set the skate case under the seat.

Let's go to the hop. It'd been awhile, then some bullies came in to skate, called The Yoder Pack, not all Yoders are like these though instead kind and God Like.
Jeb, Wayne, Orval and Ty, they skated by us, said something, Orval in trouble for fighting and a could be jail sentence. The next time around ran into Caleb ,"Watch it will ya ," Orval taunted. " No you watch it, watch where ya go in." " Hey Peter, you'd better lay off! He said jeering then skated off. " You'll go before a judge to tell your story, leave us alone ," Peter said sternly.
