Ever since the findings under the Ole Mill, The Ghost Hunters found. And still going to find more all the time. In extreme circumstances, and or trying times look up our Lord's Bounty in Christ. They find abundance to get us through hard times.
Martha, Nateli, and Braudaar Arnez discovered, a chance in a lifetime offered, a rental property, a Belgium Horse Farm. Mama and Dat Troyer owned the property, and Ashlyn and Margret, got them to purchase a bakery for them. Ma'am and Dat will give these three, equal opportunity since they are part owners of The King Bakery Ma'am's maiden name, which she inherited belonging to her Parents.
Wallace and Benny, received a farmstead from Ma'am and Dat, in the last year.
" We want to see them enjoy their inheritance
Before they die ."
The heat wave fires took much from the Amish, Mennonite Communities. They are considered natural disasters around these parts. The inheritance given early cheered them up after such devastating events around our township of Snow Peace Amish.
Something uniquely original came from it, Documents found in the underground room, underneath the Ole Mill. In those analyzed documents, there are maps, using the names of villages to determine small villages as a town in themselves.
It would go like this, The Troyer Village and the last name of above said deed to the Farmstead. The name then being the Village name. Today many Village Towns, then in Snow Peace. Snow Peace resembles a large town with Villages there in, Lancaster.
Living History, Alice and Clara Esh are writing a history book on the subject, having a look back in time of the Amish until today. Planning and preparing book information, pictures, and prints of things from around town.
It's all so surreal, and at the same time open the Mennonite school for another school year.
Paper machete candy Piñata hung from the ceiling, anticipating a day to break one open using a broom handle as the student is blindfolded. The Piñata breaks open leaving a whole lot of foil-wrapped candy spilling to the classroom floor.
Teaching third and fourth grades together at this building. This year, next year fifth and sixth grades, following that year seventh and eighth grade graduation ceremony. If the College states GED to become a doctor etc.
It has been noted the students are extremely intelligent tested and in eighth grade as smart as English Seniors in high school. Teachers Clara and Alice Bontrager.
Inside the small one-room schoolhouse, decorated to the hilt for our students. Each desk had the name of the student taped to the desktop using a name card. Gentlemen on one side ladies on the other side.
Each wall had a dark gray, lined white for the teacher to write on the study of their day. A circle of wood chairs on the other end circled around a black wooden piano. Where music takes place and lessons. Several musical instruments to learn how to play learned at Amish school.
Each child has a chance to pick an instrument they have wanted to learn to play.
Flute, piano, violin, guitar, autoharp, snare drum. Each teacher can teach these instruments.
Voice lessons and recitals, a pull-out drawer in files named pieces of music. Amish and Mennonites selected music to sing or play. Also the class singing choir together. Performance for family expected and will be invited to come to watch their child and note made refreshments served.
On the first day of school names checked in making each student known by a teacher just who I am. Pictures are charted in a book kept at the front desk where folks sign in to visit. Then parents can look at it also. Anything going on in school kept charted. Personal things in a locked file, marked private hipa.
More than not, study time during school hours to study vocabulary words, math assignments are done during school hours rather than home time. This really helps teachers, students interact. That way if parents are unsure of any Scholastic learning. Teachers practice teaching skills with their students.
Lunch in the kitchen refrigerator in brown paper bags, bottled water, and a carton of milk.
Alice and Clara, rolled out a long lunch table in white out, pulling it down and expanding it out. The long table from end to end had bench seats attached on each side.
Students Bring a packed lunch, only must be in a paper sack, a cold pack in each. They stack better than lunch boxes do. Then lunch is served to each child, they are asked to bow their head in prayer. Start to eat in quietness for a rest period, and eat faster given one hour to have lunch.
As time would have had it, recess, better ball, swinging, hop Scotch, and kickball, teachers out watching blowing a whistle in emergency. After one half an hour, go back inside to study English and math.
Three the bell is rung time to go home, Alice and Clara take each student home in a black buggy bus, a big Belgium hitched to it. Clara is driving, seat belted In for safety. Driving twenty-five students home, a farmstead.
A pretty fall day, yet warm no breeze, all Amish children behaved. Stopping at each Childs farmstead, stop sign flips out stopping children from stopping the Amish school bus. At each farm Mater out to get her children, they usually always waved smiling, younger children alongside them holding onto maters legs.
Finally, full circle, last stop, Clara and Alice headed back to school. " Today for a first day of school went so well I think do you Clara," Alice asked full-faced.
" Yes, this has been such fun, getting to know, and see new and old students alike. Has proven to be not only fun, a learning experience in itself. Schwester Alice, I love working with you."
" I love working alongside you Clara, today is so fun I shall not forget it."
Later they corrected papers at home, spun off from supper being eaten as well, and enjoyed. Ham and bean soup, homemade bread and butter, a wedge of Apple crumb pie, hot kaffi, delicious.
" Look Samuel drew a tiny picture of himself on that one. The cutest things children do outa of love for themselves," Clara said smiling.
" My child Susie put here," I love you, Teacher Alice, as my eyes watered such love from a child," Alice said. Then getting up to pop popcorn over a fire in the fireplace. Using jiffy pop in a pan, which has a handle the middle silver foil, it fully pops it fills out into a ball on a handle. Then splits open and share.
Clara got bowls, napkins, and salt bringing sat down on their library table, Alice came back carrying two colas. Life is so wonderbra even after the horrific heat wave. And terrible fires, things have replaced business, and many things underwent change.
Try if he might Peter Esh, try to get this done right the first time, Landmarks reformed after fires in town had taken out much of the property lines, for one thing being destroyed.
To date since the heat wave, the property needed to be moved over, measured, along with others, all properties changed demension-wise. His helped the town, and Property Surveyors, being paid very good money. And a long steel pole drove deep into the ground, this will survey a lot line.
By nightfall a lot was done, still more to put in. Peter Esh left for home, around the corner from The Sheriff's Office. A large white Amish-style home. A large white Barn, an acreage in back taking in killpin horses nourishing them back to life once more. His hired hand another deputy Sheriff living in the small house in back of his house .For his room and board no pay for his horse work, his room and board paid.
Later on this week heading out to see Clara, taking Caleb up with to see Alice. He couldn't wait either to see her. This time stay there to eat supper and play games.
He ate his supper, showered, and set for bed. As ready as he'd ever be, dead tired after hard day at work. Sleep came soon after he hit his pillow.
Nighttime outside, his big German Shepard, police dog resting at the foot of his bed. Things seem to work itself out as the heatwave has, and property being replaced after fire has taken it all.
The entire Snow Peace Amish Town Village has smaller village towns inside its interior. Made true by being put on a map with a title of its own. Our Lord standing beside us each step of the way leading the way to a better way of living.
The school week ended gut, lots of schoolwork work accomplished and stars on the paperwork. Friday night after a long first week of grade school. Alice and Clara decided to call it a night early.
Saturday Peter and Caleb come to supper and play games. Peter told Clara he'd surprise them with supper from a favorite restaurant. She felt excited, missing him so much.
" I will be happy to see Caleb Saturday evening, I miss him so," Alice told Clara.
Saturday a full day ahead, Alice and Clara are baking for tonight's date. Cupcakes, a relish tray, dip, and sweet slushy tea, cleaned house, and soaked in a nice hot bath.
The weather in September starting to be cool outside, and leaves starting to turn colors for fall foliage. Taking it easy resting for tonight.
Peter and Caleb, arrived at six at night , carrying Chinese food take out order. They knocked and then walked inside . " Dankee so much Honey ," Clara , hugging Peter for the food.
Caleb and Alice hugged , and set the table top getting it ready to eat. Quiet around outside , inside, it seems our village after so much devastation , calmed by our lord from prayers being said.
The center piece a oil lamp glowing , a dim light from electric lamp next to the couch. Looking down from heaven seeing two couples sharing prayer . Heads bent over their bounty of food, giving Thanks for Grace being bestowed upon them.
