Through the week, Vi couldn't get her mind off what she and the girls had discussed. Why were they all working at The Palace being monitored by Zombies with no inkling as to who the King or any member of the first family was? She had no idea why it was so troubling to her and why she wasted her work hours thinking about it.
*An absent-minded/troubled daughter is always a concern of her mother.*
Lex noticed her daughter's behaviour and became worried and sad. She thought about everything that had happened to Vi since her father died and also her regret of being all comfortable while her husband worked to keep them comfortable. Maybe if she'd worked or had some money of her own,she could have sent her daughter out of this hell hole to live her life out somewhere before the arrival of the Supernaturals into their town.
At least she'll be fine somewhere and just perhaps her James would still be alive, and not had to get into any shady deals to keep them fed. Lex did not realise that she was crying until she felt a light touch on her shoulder. She wiped her tears away quickly and put on her best smile hoping that nobody had noticed anything. She turned and heaved a sigh of relief when she realised it was Vi.
"Don't scare an old woman like that again,Vi. It's not good for my heart" ; she chided. "You're not that old, Ma" , Vi retorted but hugged her close. She pulled her down to a seat and told her they had something to discuss.
After telling her mother everything she had discussed with the other girls, her heart felt lighter as her mom is her only confidante. 'Violet,so what you are trying to tell me is that all those zombies who almost sucked me dry are not even the head of the palace' her mother gasped. Vi nodded slowly.
Lex was quiet for a while, deep in thought. She questioned herself wondering what had transpired between Xavier and James. " Who exactly are these Vakians that you, every vampire and supernatural being tremble at the sound of their name ?' ,she had once asked James. He had said he had no idea but even Supernatural Royalty bowed to them and there was even a month set aside to pay them tribute.
She decided it was high time they did sone research. She hugged her daughter and looked at the time, it was the end of another busy work day. She asked Vi to grab their coats and meet her by the exit stand whike she formulated a plan. They boarded their bus and headed home.

.Chapter 4
Violet grabbed their coats and followed her mother to the garage where no one has been to in last two years. She saw the car her dad bought for her mother which brought back memories of how her mother drove the car to pick her up from school, the memories of her first driving lessons where her father was sitting at the driver's side and her mother was at the back making a video.
Violet knew that the car also brought a lot of sad memories to her mother. She started coughing due to the dust, when she was relieved a little from the cough, she asked her mother ' what are we doing here ma?'.
Lex looked at her daughter as if she were growing bananas 'what does it look like? admiring the beauty of the car, of course we are going for a ride to look for answers and the comfortable way to go about this without wasting money and resources is taking my car.' throwing Violet the car keys who caught it at ease.
'you are driving' Lex said.
