It was late at night and the others had decided to tell each other ghost stories in the barracks. They all gathered together as each of them told their most scariest stories.

"The menacing figure crept closer, closer! He looked over his helpless victims as they suddenly realized... he had highly contagious flu symptoms!" Mantis spoke, standing on top of a tiny box lantern.

"Oh! No, no!" Crane screamed, shaking his head, causing his hat to fall off, making both Mantis and Daiyu laugh.

"I knew that would get him!" Mantis cackled as Tigress raised her eyebrow at Crane, who hid behind his hat as Daiyu chuckled at his scared demeanor.

"Right. Anyone else?" Tigress asked.

"How about you, Po? Know any scary stories?" Monkey asked, Po replied.

"Do I?" He then suddenly started to laugh maniacally and immediately stopped when he saw the annoyed faces of his friends.

"Yeah, Po. No need for all of that. Go big or go home." Daiyu said.

"Yeah." Po nodded, approaching the front as he held the lantern just below his head and spoke.

"Prepare yourselves for the incredible true story of the jiang shi. The hopping ghost! Every year, we honor our departed ancestors at the Ghost Festival. But when the proper respect is not payed, the dead can turn nasty! The undead corpse transforms into a jiang shi and prowls the earth, lusting after the blood and brains of the living!

Stiff from being dead and junk, they're forced to hop around in an hideous unbendy fashion. Possessing creepy powers, they can fly through the air, walk through walls or freeze you with their horrible death breath. And their next victim... could be you!"

"It's terrifying, Po!" Tigress gasped. "If I was four!"

Everyone laughed at Po's attempt to tell them a scary story, which was far from scary and it was more like retelling a children's novel, a fable.

"Good one, good one, Tigress!" Monkey laughed.

"What's terrifying is that you actually remember all that randomness." Crane grinned.

"You don't really believe all those old stories, do you?" Tigress asked.

"Uh, yes. Guys, ghosts are real! That's why I've read about every ghost scroll in the library." Po replied, Monkey scoffed.

"No one likes a ghost smarty-pants, Po."

"Perhaps. But if we ever run into a hopping ghost, you won't know what to do and I will."

Just then, Shifu opened the door from behind and caused Po to get startled, bump into a wall and fall on his back.

"Finally, someone who knows his ghosts. Tell these nonbelievers the stories about the throttling and the chocking and the hurting!" Po urged.

"As you said, Po. Stories. There are no such things as ghosts." Shifu replied.

"Do the ghosts know that?" Po asked, Shifu ignited his question.

"But in spite of the facts many people do believe, for instance, we've just received a report from the country side of... strange apparitions." As soon as Shifu said that, thunder and lighting suddenly appeared and didn't react at all.

"Strange apparitions?" Po asked, the thunder and lighting appeared again and he reacted with slight fear.

"Strange apparitions." Shifu nodded.

The thunder and lightening followed up and didn't react at all. Po looked to his left and right, feeling confused.

"Strange apparitions." Po whispered, he then whimpered as the thunder and lightening struck again.
