Yashiro stood in front of her three friends, her remark making the air seem cold. Hanako and Kou finally stopped their fighting and (Name) looked at Yashiro with a concerned look.

"What is it?" Hanako asked.

Yashiro softly clenched the paper in her hands. "To be frank... finals are right around the corner!!" Yashiro turned her paper to show her study guide for semester finals.

The three of them flinched and Kou began wailing on the floor with his hands on his head. "Finals! I totally forgot about them!!"

(Name) fidgeted with her flower brooch. "Me too... Even though I'm a ghost, I still have to do them. Bummer."

"Who would've thought that time would go by so fast while we were in that world..." Yashiro muttered.

"Who cares about all that finals junk?" Hanako asked. "Right now you're life or death."

"I do!!!" Yashiro said. "If you get poor grades at our school, you'll have to go through all sorts of tutoring. In my case, if I were to get low scores on all of my subjects, I would have to go through tutoring even during the summer. I won't be able to come in to clean the toilets! And (Name) will barely be able to spend any time with you!!"

"That isn't necessarily true-" (Name) was interrupted by Yashiro before she could continue.

"If that were to happen to me..." Yashiro continued to be stuck in her own thoughts, imagining being stuck in a class with people taunting her. She ran around and began bawling. "No!! Don't call me a tutored radish!!"

"Calm down, Nene-chan..." (Name) said, trying to comfort her distressed friend. "You've still got that good luck charm I gave you, right?"

"I've made sure to keep it on my desk but..." Yashiro murmured.

Hanako came behind them and grabbed both of their shoulders. When they looked back at him, he had a stern and serious look on his face.

"Let's study hard," he said.

(Name) sighed as if she didn't really want to. Even in the past, she always hated studying for finals. Most of the time she found herself not studying for them at all.

Yashiro stared at him for a good moment before giving a reply, a bit disappointed that he didn't have some magical spell to get her full marks. "...Yeah."

"I'll help you guys too!!" Kou said, his eyes sparkling.

"Kou-kun..." Yashiro murmured.

"Are you even safe for finals Kou?" (Name) asked.

"I'm not!!" Kou said.

Teru stood outside of the girls bathroom, listening in on the conversation. He put his hand up to his chin, as he began to come up with a plan.

"Finals.. huh?" he said.

• Seven Days Until Finals •

Teru and Akane scribbled in their journals in the student council room. Teru shot Akane a grin and asked him a question.

"Hey Aoi, how about the two of us indulge in a little contest?"

"How about no?" Akane said, not even taking his eyes off his books.

Teru silently looked at him. He inched just a bit closer. "Aoi."

"No."

"I didn't even say what it was, yet."

"And the answer will be no, yet."
