Chapter 19 – Your POV

Waking up to my alarm beeping, I roll over to snooze it when I realise that no snoozing will be happening, I've got a busy day! I get up, looking at my phone to see Leah's sent the name of the coffee shop she wants us to meet at. I shower get changed, get my breakfast of porridge on, letting it chug whilst I go and get ready putting on some light makeup on, grabbing my laptop, notepad and pencil case before heading back to the kitchen.

"SHIT!" I moan, looking to see my porridge completely burnt, I look at my saucepan and look at my watch before realising I don't have time for this. I filled the sink with hot water before plunging my saucepan in there to soak whilst I'm out, I'll deal with that later!

Heading to the café, I park up before heading inside. The décor is gorgeous, the ceiling covered in pastel flowers, cakes, cookies and savoury items overflowed the counter. My stomach rumbled, reminding myself I haven't had breakfast yet, I will be getting something from here! As I stand staring at the assortment of bakes I feel someone approach me from behind, I glance over my shoulder to see Leah, dressed in jeans, a hoodie, and a black oversized coat with a cap on.

"Morning!" she says.

"Hi! How are you?" I say hugging her, I feel like we were friendly enough for a hug not to be weird at this point. Leah seemed taken a back before her arms wrapped around me hugging me back, we pull back. Before I say anything, I hear a voice from behind.

"Hi, Can I help you?" we both look over to the counter to see the waitress stood there waiting.

"You go first" I signal to Leah; she smiles before putting her hand out in front of her telling me to go first. I step up to the counter, looking at the board of hot drinks before saying.

"Please may I have a full English and a hot chocolate" I step back and turn to Leah sheepishly looking at her "I burnt my breakfast this morning, don't judge!" she laughs looking down at her feet before stepping up to the counter to order.

"Can – "

"Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god you're Leah Williamson" the waitress stares at Leah open mouthed, I giggle and smile, Leah nods and smiles. "God sorry, I just love you and think you're amazing".

"Thank you, you're very kind" Leah smiles kindly.

"Sorry, what can I get for you?" she says obviously star struck.

"I'll get exactly the same please" Leah says, before reaching for her pocket.

"Leah, move I've got this" I say with my card in my hand.

"No way" Leah states.

"Please, this is a work thing so let me pay." I bargain.

"Fine, I pay next time" There was going to be a next time?

I look at her and smirk.

"Deal"

We head over to the booth at the back, taking a seat opposite each other. I grab my laptop, notepad and pencil case out of my bag. I hear Leah giggle, looking up at her I raise my eyebrow, she nods her head at my pencil case...

"Nice pencil case, fan" I look at my pencil case, FUCK! It's an Arsenal pencil case, I sink my head into my hands. I groan.

"Well, you can't say I'm not committed to the cause" we both laugh.

"Don't suppose you've got any Arsenal pens in there, don't worry if you don't, I can get you a lifetime supply of these" Leah jokes. Our drinks get delivered before I say.

"So, what's going on? How was the meeting the other day?" I say opening my notepad. Leah huffs, rolling her eyes.

"Honestly, it was terrible. Tessa came up with an idea for me to be the face of the half time beer" I look at her in shock.
