Everyone love grumpy type of Miguel, but what if we got a soft Miguel-

"That fucking piece of shit," Eve complained and ordered another drink for herself.

A normal night to everyone, but at the bar, sat a lady who had her heart broken. Every man that's in the bar wants to take a shot on Eve because a broken heart lady is always one to easily approach.

Eventually a man decided to walk towards Eve, he leaned on the bar table next to Eve.

"Alone?" The man started.
"Of course I'm not alone, can't you see a ghost next to me?" Eve pointed, "he's right here, want to say hi?" The woman laughed.

Okay, a broken heart lady is indeed easy to approach but a crazy one?

The man awkwardly chuckled and walked away.

"That's what I thought," Eve scoffed and left the bar.

After a while, another man approached her, this time, this man is way more bigger than the one before. The man just stood next to her and ordered a drink, he seemed to not want to have a conversation with Eve but she could sense the man was eyeing on her.

“I can feel you looking at me,” Eve turned to the man.
“Who got your heart broken?” The man asked.
“Why do you care?”
“You seems to be needing someone to talk with, not to fuck with,” the man let out a short laugh, “and every men here, wants to have you in their bed later.”
“Oh, you’re interesting,” the man finally had Eve’s full attention, “what’s your name?”
“I’m Miguel O’Hara.”
“Eve,” she reached out her hand to allow Miguel to shake it, “I’ll only tell you my last name if we happen to be friends, but now we’re just two strangers having a conversation.”
“You’re quite an interesting woman,” Miguel took the hand and kissed it, “so, who got your pretty heart broken?”
“Just my ex, I found out that he was having an affair, I exposed him but how could you easily forgot the one man who you have loved for three years,” Eve complained, “it’s just every typical break up story,” Eve scoffed and pay for her drink but Miguel stopped as he ordered one more for Eve.
“Tell me more about it,” Miguel tilted his head, looking at Eve with a small smirk on his face.

Eve was stunned for a second, because she managed to fully see the face of Miguel and that expression on his face which is very handsome, what’s more he’s willing to listen.

Without a hesitation, Eve spilled all the tea about her ex, about how stupid and annoying her ex is, especially now since they’ve broken up.

“Who would’ve known there would be such a sweet man like you in the bar,” Eve chuckled as they were walking down the street, sober up.
“You’re over complimenting,” Miguel still has that handsome smile on his face.
“Why were you at the bar?” Eve asked.
“I was alone most of the time, so I thought I could just go for a drink or two.”
“A handsome man like you, being alone? No, that image doesn’t suit you,” Eve laughed.

He probably has many ladies who want him. Eve thought.

A few more steps, Eve stopped, she started to take off her heels, it must’ve been aching for a time, but only now she takes it off. When she stood back up, she only noticed Miguel was looking at her the whole time. Eve just tilted her head, frowning, looking at Miguel with the obvious ‘question mark’ face.

“You can wear my shoes if you want,” Miguel suggested.

Eve looked down at the shoes Miguel is wearing, they look very stylish.

“Then what are you going to wear?” Eve asked.
“I can walk on barefoot, because my car is just a few more miles from here,” Miguel pointed at a direction, “I can drive you home if you don’t mind.”
“It’s just a few miles, I can walk,” Eve proceeded to wear back her heels but she was stopped by a sudden movement which Miguel just carried Eve into his arms, “Whoa!” While his other hand, holding Eve’s heels.

I was never treated like this before, she thought.

How can a man I just know, treat me like this without questioning or complaining? Eve continued to think.

Or, he is just being a gentleman.

The thoughts only stopped when Miguel gently placed Eve in his car as he went to open the door, then pick Eve again and settle her on the passenger's seat. Miguel is basically treating Eve as if she’s some doll to be picked up and put down.

“Thank you,” Eve mumbled.

Miguel even helped her with the seat belt, she’s not used to getting treated nicely like this.

Her thoughts are driving her crazy.

During the whole ride, they didn’t say a word at all, only the wind blowing in from Eve’s side, it’s just a way she does to get fully sober up and clear her mind from thinking too much. The car stopped and they arrived. She looked out from the window, knowing that she had returned home, then Eve only realized she didn’t even give Miguel her address so how did he know?

Miguel got out of the car, and went to open the door for Eve. Eve got out of the car, confused.

Am I going to get killed? Is Miguel some assassin? Paid to kill me so he knows everything about me?

Eve starts to look at Miguel suspiciously which Miguel could see immediately.

“I’m not trying to kidnap you, this is my house, there’s spare room for you to stay,” Miguel quickly explained, “You didn’t told me where you live, so I thought you used to live with your ex and you have nowhere to return to now,” Miguel scratches his head, he does not want to get mistaken as he’s some kind of bad guy.
“Oh my gosh,” Eve facepalmed.

So he’s the new neighbor I was told about.

“Well, this is awkward,” Eve sighed and took out her house keys, “what a coincidence, neighbor,” Eve couldn’t help it but to chuckle, shaking her keys.
“It’s a weird coincidence,” Miguel smirked, “then allow me to walk you home,” even if it's just a few steps.
“Thanks.”

It’s sure just a few steps to Eve’s house gate, she looked at Miguel for one last time for the night. She has her heart broken and all depressed two hours ago but after Miguel appears, he manages to cheer Eve up.

“Thank you for tonight,” Eve smiled.
“Same goes here.”
“Goodnight Miguel.”

Miguel watches Eve open her gate and getting ready to head in, he reaches out his hand, grabs Eve into his warm arms, hugging her.

“Miguel?” Eve is shocked by the sudden movement.
“Oh sorry, I just feel like you needed a hug,” Miguel let go of Eve.

What was that? Why did I do that? Miguel’s thoughts panicked.

“Okay,” Eve chuckled, “Goodnight, again.”
“Goodnight.”

Miguel only leaves after he sees Eve walk in the house and turn on her light, he just wants to make sure Eve returns to her house safely.

Miguel walks back to his house, trying to calm himself.

Eve leaning on the door, smiling.

What a night. They both thought.
