Dawn (Chapter Three)

"Who are you? I heard you interviewing the people here about me," Eve walked up to Miguel who's waiting for Dawn at the Riverside park.

Miguel was shocked to see Eve next to him, he was expecting Dawn instead of Eve.

"My name is Miguel O'Hara."
"Ah, the famous mutant helper, I'm not a mutant though, so there must be another reason you interview people about me," Eve spoke before Miguel fully introduced himself.
"I saw you crossing the road without worrying about the cars."
"Oh that, I only cross the road if it's people who I know," Eve smug, "as you can see I don't need your help, so why are you here?"
"I'm waiting for someone."
"Your secret girlfriend? If my schoolmates see you, they would go crazy," Eve said and hopped on the fences, she looked down at Miguel, "it seems like whoever it is, is not showing up."
"Are you always this reckless?"
"For normal humanity, yes I'm reckless, but I survived all the reckless shit I do, and there's nothing worth looking forward to, except if my music get a huge hit," Eve laughed and start walking on the fences, "well I should quit bothering you, goodbye Mr O'Hara," Eve hop off the fences and disappear off at the street.

Miguel sighed and looked at the scene, he started to wonder when Dawn was going to appear, it's already getting dark. Miguel doesn't know that Dawn had been observing him for quite some time already, she just doesn't want to show up yet, she wants to see how desperate Miguel is, wanting to talk to her.

It's 12 am, there's already no one on the street, only left Miguel who's still waiting at the park.

"You really do wait for the whole day huh," Dawn whispered to herself then helped to the closest restaurant that's still open.

"I don't know if you're fancy with the street Pizza, Mr O'Hara," Dawn finally showed up, with five slices of pizza in a box, she sat on the fences, holding the pizza, waiting for Miguel to take it, "don't worry, it's not poison, I don't do food poisoning because that's just waste of food."
"You're fine with murdering but not wasting food," Miguel hesitated at first then he took a slice of Pizza because he's actually starving.
"Why do you want to talk to me Mr O'Hara?" Dawn sets the Pizza container on the air next to Miguel so he can take more if he wants as she curls up on the fences, looking at Miguel.
"After so long of trying to capture you, I realized that no matter what I do, no one can catch you, so I wanted to help you, like how I help the other mutants," Miguel taking the second slice.
"You want to help?" Dawn scoffed and stepped off from the fences, floating in the air, "are you going to wipe my crime record? How would the other ex heroes feel about it? Are you really trying to help me or you're helping yourself, Mr O'Hara?"
"Both."
"You can't always get both, you know that," Dawn looked at the moon, "everything comes with a price, nothing is free."
"If we never try, how can we be so sure?" Miguel asked.
"Because I live my own life like that, if you want this," Dawn pointed at herself, "then you gotta lose this," and pointed at Miguel.

Miguel couldn't say another word, because what Dawn told him is right too.

"Goodnight Mr O'Hara, don't worry, your identity will be a secret," Dawn winked and disappeared in thin air.
"Goodnight Dawn," Miguel sighs and gets in his car and drives back to his apartment.

"Welcome back Miguel, how did it go?" Lyla asked the moment Miguel steps in.
"Went well I guess," Miguel let out a big sigh, "show me information about the Eve I talked to."

In a second, a list of Eve's information shows up.

Adopted by Sally Jayson and Kelvin Jayson.
Biological parents, unknown.
October 31 found on Riverside Street.

Crime list: 0

Along with all the awards she got before while she studies Music.

Miguel looked at the information, this is not getting him anywhere. No matter how much he tried to unmask Dawn, it always led him to dead ends. This is his fourth dead end.

"Yo, who's that man you were talking to last week?" Chris asked.
"You're asking me after a week?" Eve questioned.
"Well, you were on shift the whole time, trying to catch you is hard," Chris sighed.
"I- my apologies for that," Eve quickly apologized, "Miguel O'Hara, the one that helps the mutant to find a better place," Eve mocked the slogan.
"Why is he here?"
"I guess he has the eyes of knowing who is an orphan," Eve sarcastically said.
"You're adopted."
"Just so I have a last name."

"Miss Jayson and Mr Osborn, are you guys going to continue chatting in class?" The teacher called them out.
"Sorry madam," both of them apologized and gently smacked each other back after.

"We need backup!"
"Mommy?"
"Somebody help please!"

New York City center.

Fire raging as it burns everyone who's in the area alive, gunshots everywhere, mostly from the police.

"The Sinister Six and the Dawn are fighting against each other at the New York center! We can't get clear vision but I can say it's very bad! Whoever's close to the New York center, please stay away and stay safe!" The news played around every corner of New York.

"Come here you witch!" Doc Ock reached out his tentacles, trying to catch Dawn but Dawn just easily dodged it.
"C'mon Ock, I thought we were on terms? You promise you will give me that information and you didn't, I would say some robbing it needed," Dawn scoffed, "lock!" Dawn turns to Sandman, now he's just a stone on the road, "look, you got the cash, I got the information I requested, we can just go home."

They didn't listen and continued attacking Dawn. At first Dawn was just hoping to escape here with everyone unwounded but Vulture and Mysterio manage to do some scratches on Dawn, so she's going to fight back as well.

Dawn started with burning Vulture up with all the fire around them.

"Chicken perfectly toasted," Dawn laughed and headed to her next target, Electro. Dawn breaks the fire hydrant, letting the water splashing out, Dawn bends the water and slams it on Electro, even if he's immune to it, his gear is all burned out so he'll take some time to get back up.

Now it left Doc Ork, Mysterio, and Kraven but Kraven is hiding very well.

"Come out Kraven, or I'll squash your buddies," Dawn called but she doesn't know that Kraven is dealt with by SpiderMan who's outside the fire circle, getting the civilian out of that area.

Dawn started to watch her steps because she sensed a third party, SpiderMan.

"Sleep!" Dawn casted the spell on Mysterio, which led him to fall asleep when he's mid-air with the drone that's carrying him.

"Everyone's down, this is the part you walk away, Ork," Dawn warned Doc Ork, "if you walk away right now, and after I check if the information I want is correct, I might think of helping you to break your Sinister out."
"You bitch," Doc Ork cursed as he looked around him, everyone's down except for him, "I'll come after you next time!" He uses his tentacles to grab the others and leaves.

Dawn looked around the surroundings, everything was in chaos. When the policies finally made it through the fire, Dawn had already disappeared.

"Shit," Dawn stopped on a random rooftop, she reached her hand down to her waist, even Dawn was wearing gloves but she could see the blood on her gloves, "the reason why I hate Vulture and Mysterio, they are very annoying," she complained.

"I can't go back, Chris will be at home since this kind of news happened," Dawn thought to herself.

A thought flashes through her mind.

Dawn hates the idea she has, but it leaves her no choice.

"Hello, I'm wondering if you are still planning to help me."
