CHAPTER 17: WEDDING

THIRD PERSON'S POV

MALHOTRA MANSION

"I am really sorry beta for misunderstanding you, please forgive your mother" pleaded Malini, Nandini's mother.

Nandini stayed mum as she still couldn't forget those harsh words that her mother had told her. The time when she needed her parents the most they were not there, instead they labelled her as a characterless girl.

Manik could understand Nandini's dilemma and stood beside her to giver her support

"Please Nandini forgive us" pleaded her Father while joining his hands

"Dad, please don't do this" said Nandini

"Mom ,Dad I want to forgive you but my heart is not listening to me. I still can't forget the words you used for me, I still can't forget how you tried to kill my child" she cried while Manik pulled her into a side hug.

"Please give me some time " she said while she hid herself in Manik's warm embrace.

"It's ok beta we understand " said her parent and sighed defeatedly .

"I have an announcement to make " said Manik gaining everyone's attention

"I have decided that Nandini and I are going to stay in my penthouse from now on" said Manik leaving everyone shocked

"But why beta?" asked Nyeonika

"Mom we both need some alone time, these past few months have been disastrous for us we both need some space" said Manik

"But beta Nandini is pregnant,  you can't take care of her alone" said Nandini's mother

"Yes beta she is right , Nandini needs a lot care right now" said Raj

This made  Manik rethink his decision.

"Manik ,Nandini can come back with us" said Nandini's father

"No she is not going anywhere with you" said Manik in a dominating tone

"But beta..." Malini was about to speak when Nandini cut her in between

"I am not going anywhere leaving Manik alone" said Nandini in a determined tone.

"No problem Nandini you can live with us" said Nyeonika

"But how can she stay here, she is not even married to Manik" said her mother.

"Oh that won't be a problem,  I will get married to her today itself" said Manik leaving Nandini stuned

"Nandini will you marry me" he asked while he held her hands in his warm embrace

Nandini was out of words as she was feeling so overwhelmed,  so she just nodded her head vigorously to show her acceptance while tears brimmed her eyes

"Thank you so much Nandini" said Manik and hugged her tightly forgetting that he was surrounded by people.

"Ok enough of your romance" said Aliya teasingly making them break the hug

"Oh god there is so much to be done now, I have to buy clothes ,makeup,  jewellery " said Aliya excitedly .

Everybody chuckled seeing her .

"I want to say something "said Nandini gaining everyone's attention

Manik gave her a questioning look to which Nandini gave him an assured smile.

"I don't want a grand wedding, I just want something simple " said Nandini

"But why beta, its your wedding" said Raj

"No uncle I just want to be surrounded by people who love me during the wedding not, I don't want any unwanted people to be there who might judge us" said Nandini

"But.." Raj what about to speak when Manik said

"It's ok Dad, we will do whatever makes her happy" said Manik leaving no room for argument.

Everyone agreed and soon called the priest to fix the wedding date.

It was decided that their marraige will be held after Aliya and Dhruv's marraige which is after a week. Though Manik wanted to get married today itself but he controlled himself.

After a long time every one was happy no worries no tension but what they didn't know was there was still more to happen, something so bad that will leave them shocked for their entire life.

AFTER A WEEK

Today was Dhruv and Aliya's wedding ,The entire Malhotra Mansion was decked up like a bride. Each corner of the house screamed happiness. Our bride Aliya was looking no less than a princess in her red bridal dress. One the other hand our lovey duvy couple Manik and Nandini couldn't keep their hands off eachother. Everyone was lost in the world of happiness.

Soon the priest asked to bring the bride and the wedding rituals started.  Everything was going well and soon the priest announced Dhruv and Aliya as husband and wife. The atmosphere was so lively when suddenly they heard Nandini's blood curdling scream.

Everyone rushed near the stairs just to find Nandini lying on the floor with blood surrounding her. This scene left Manik half dead, he couldn't imagine seeing his Nandini in this condition

"Nandini " he screamed and rushed to her.
