Well I'm a few days past my due date, and I'm so ready for my baby girl to get here.
"Hey babe, you okay?" Ryan says walking into the bathroom finding me staring at myself in the mirror, he's been staying with me in between races.
"I just want her to be here already, I can't even fit in my clothes anymore" I say tearing up.
"Hey" he says walking over to me, putting his arms around me, and onto my stomach.
"I think you look absolutely beautiful, and I want her to be here just as much as you do, and you can always wear my clothes. " he says, laying his head in the crook of my neck.

In the middle of the night I wake up, Ryan laying beside me.I try to go back to sleep but I can't. So I carefully get up trying not to wake him up, I make my way to the kitchen getting a glass of water, when I feel a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. I take a deep breath, that helps a little. But a few minutes another cramp hits, as I feel something wet trickling down my leg, I go back into our room, shaking Ryan awake. "Ryan, wake up! My water just broke" I say which causes him to jump right up. "Really?" he asks, as I shake my head yes.

After many painful hours, the doctor walks into the room, saying "Well Ms. Elliott looks like you're fully dilated. Are you ready to have this baby?"
"Ready as I'll ever be" I say.

"Okay baby's crowning, one last big push" she says, I push one more time, squeezing Ryan's hand, before hearing cries.
"Looks like a beautiful baby girl"
"Dad, would you like to cut the umbilical cord?"
Ryan cuts the umbilical cord, tears in his eyes. . "She's so beautiful" I say with tears in my eyes, as I hold our baby girl.
"Yes she is," he says, giving me a quick kiss.

Never thought being called that would feel so good.
As I hold our daughter in my arms, I feel complete, and shocked that she's actually here, in my arms. I feel like holding her forever, to protect her from all the danger in the world. I've never been so protective over anything or anyone before. It's only been a few hours but these girls are my whole world.
