Epilogue

     A decade has passed since the battle at the mountain pass, the battle is now known as The Battle of Intrafe Pass, named after the natives of that area in the mountains. Rawlivic's borders now stretch from the southern coast of the peninsula to the ends of the mountain range in the north. The Central Capital City has been renamed to I-Zen City, which is named after Levi Woo, the first President of Rawlivic. I-Zen City holds the seat of power for all 3 branches of government and the National Parliament Building is located directly in the middle of the city and all major roads lead to that building. Levi also stepped down from his position as president and Hsia ran for president during the following election and won by a landslide. Levi now resides in Lirus. Rawlivic is a federation comprised of 2 major states, Historia and Altracia, each state has 5 major areas. Thus, each state has 1 Chief Minister for the state and 5 governors for each area. They are all appointed by the nobles in each state. The Historian elected government officials are appointed by the Duchy of Sluggard, formally known as the House of Rawlivic. whereas the ones in Altracia are appointed by the Duchy of Marqland. The two Duchy take turns becoming constitutional monarchs. The switch happens everytime an election occurs. Levi has written into law and passed by the parliament that the President of the Federation of Rawlivic can only be in power for a maximum of two terms and each term is 5 years. At the end of every term, an election is held to elect the Parliamentary Members. The President and the Vice-President is then elected from the current 50 members of parliament. The President and Vice-President will then choose the cabinet members and form the government of the nation.

     On the other hand, the MOV became the official Rawlivian army and not only loyal to the Duchy of Sluggard. Vayne, Ron and Janus were promoted to generals and they have continued to work in the military. Caineth and Thinuo are the grand marshals of the army who are protected by the Rawlivian Special Forces (RSF) which is headed by Cara. The remnants of the HPG were repurposed and trained to act as the 24-hour protectors of the top military generals, diplomats and both the noble Duchies. The RSF still wore the same jet-black uniform the wore when they were in the HPG. Kang Ling, Chika Laystorm and Circe Laystorm became official diplomats of the country while training other diplomats to replace them such that they could carry out their duties as constitutional monarchs of the country. In a twist of fate, Hsia got engaged to and married Bella Blumenthal who was a widow as her husband followed the former archduke to the Konway side. The marriage ceremony took place in the National Library. It was also in line with the 10th anniversary of the library's opening. The ex-nobility under the former House of Rawlivic are still well liked by the people as they were the ones who created this nation for the people in the peninsula.

     Emrick now follows Hsia around who is now president as he is the special agent assigned to Hsia. He also acts as an advisor to Hsia. Emrick was first chosen to head of the RSF, but he refused as he wanted to assist Hsia and this compromise was made. An assistant that helped the President of Rawlivic in government affairs and the bodyguard to the most powerful man of the southern region of the Gaia supercontinent. Hsia also hopes that Emrick will run for his position when he retires from politics. Emrick married Circe a few months after The Battle of Intrafe Pass and took Cara as his second wife a year later. Blessings were given by Bella, and Chika. In a sense, Hsia was now his father-in-law. 

     Hsia was visiting the northern border. They were at the outpost at the border that was under the command of Janus and Vayne. The northern border was the last line of defense from the barbarians if they decide to invade again. They met Janus and Vayne in the designated meeting area within the tunnels to the front. The tunnels were expanded and all military officials moved into the vast tunnel system. Within the tunnels, the area is less cold and the officials were able to work in a more comfortable environment underground compared to the cold surface which experiences snowfall in the colder months near winter, especially the areas near the Konway side where the elevation is higher than the Rawlivian side. Emrick also saw Dave who greeted him with a large smile. He is 10 years old now and his parents wanted to train him up to be a soldier. The meeting between the president and the two generals took 2 hours and they saw the delegation from I-Zen City off after the meeting had ended. Hsia and Emrick sat on the fatest magic carriage back to the capital. 

     As they return from the north, it was already dusk and they disembarked at the station near the National Parliament Building. They were greeted by Cara who gave them a salute before ordering a soldier to lead Hsia to his office in the building. Cara walked behind Hsia and nesxt to her husband whom she had been longing to see all day. They glanced at each other as they walked side-by-side into the building where Bella Blumenthal was awaiting them. The former mayor of Wisteria is now the leading the way to the parliament building. Emrick bowed towards the President and let him walk towards his office in private with his wife. Peace has come to Rawlivic and everyone just wanted to be happy. In the office of the RSF Commander, Ron who is now the Admiral of the Rawlivian Navy was there to meet with the head of the RSF. They wanted to have an arrangement for the current constitutional monarchs to hand over the title to the Duchy of Marqland on the nation's capital ship. He needed the security of the RSF to work in tandem with the personnel of the navy. Ron was promoted to this position 5 years ago as he chose to work in the navy after The Battle of Intrafe Pass. He now has frequent meets with Maxian and Bigtosian naval leaders and Emrick frequently meets him when Hsia uses ships to sail to Maxia and Bigtosia.

     As the day's work was finished and he sends Hsia and Bella to their residence in Historia City. His master thanks him as usual and his aunt gives him a big hug before he was let go. He treats his aunt like his own mother and the two are seen sometimes eating together on days off with the President in the parliament building's cafeteria. The trip from the capital to Historia City only takes half an hour with how magic has improved to hasten magic carriage transport. He then dismisses the magic carriage that sent them here to the President's residence and walks back to his residence in Historia City. The city's night scene was brimming with life, and he was happy to see that people were able to prosper in the city that once was ruled by corrupt and greedy nobles. His return to his residents only takes him 15 minutes. As Emrick opens the door to his home, he is greeted by his superior in work and second wife Cara. She was already preparing dinner in the small house she bought together with Emrick. He takes off his shoes and enters the house still in his uniform while shutting the door behind him. A night that he would have never foreseen in the past, a time of peace that he would never imagine possible and a loving family that he once lost has now fallen into his grasp.

     The next day, Emrick picks up Hsia once again as today was the day that Hsia was supposed to welcome home the diplomats from their trip to Maxia. As they awaited the diplomat who were once royals to disembark in front of the National Parliament Building, two rows of soldiers lined the entrance till the spot where the magic carriage was supposed to land. As the ex-royal descended from the magic carriage, Kang was the first and was greeted by the official at the front who was the Grand Marshal that oversaw internal affairs, Thinuo Juna. The two smiled brighter than ever before and seemed to be more happy as today was the day that they hand over their titles to the Duchy of Marqland. Behind Kang was the two sisters from said duchy. They disembarked and were greeted by Hsia and a salute was given to all 3 by the soldiers standing there. Emrick was then prompted to lead all of them into the parliament building. They had a meeting to report everything they learned while in Maxia. Emrick stood behind Hsia as they all sat, however he was periodically glanced at by Circe who was there in a dress fit for a monarch. 

     As the day turned into noon and the meeting was over, they prepared to head to the Marqland Palace where the handover ceremony would take place. The current constitutional monarch would ride the capital ship of the nation down a man-made cannel to the Marqland Palace. The ceremony began in the darkness of the night sky and the citizen were watching the ceremony via magic broadcast. The ceremony began smoothly, Circe was looking on at her sister being crowned the new constitutional monarch of the nation, she was seated with Hsia to her left and Emrick standing behind them both. 

     "What do you think my elder sister will bring to the nation?" Circe asked the president of the nation as her sister was giving her speech. The two had a small chat and Emrick was sometimes dragged into it to give his two cents. The three were engaged in their conversation while the new queen did her speech. The nation was changing and hopefully for the better. 

     Primogeniture is the first born and has the right of succession. What we do should not be restricted to circumstances of birth and we should move forward with our thoughts and action and not be victims of our own circumstances. Some people may be born into better circumstances than others but that doesn't mean that those that aren't cannot achieve greater things. Someone who is born into circumstances that are rough and eventually make it stand as the symbol of hope to us all.
