Y/N POV:
I was playing with Lay, a little three year old boy i'm very fond of in the tribe, his parents are currently hunting so i'm taking care of him.
Our tribe is near the ocean so both Lay and I went there and started to build a sand castle, when suddenly Leeseo, my bestie, came over to me hurriedly and told me to go to my hut fast since my father wanted to see me, so I left Lay with her and left. Soon i arrived to my house and started searching for my father.
"Dad?" I asked loudly searching for him until i found him in his office. "Hey, u asked for me?"
My father looked up and told me to sit in the chair in front of his desk.
"Sweetheart, you know our tribe is one of the few that are still standing in these times and i'm sure u also know this past couple of years we had trouble with bringing enough food for everyone and had a few fights about resorces with other tribes close by." I nodded at that statement, i was present in one of those fights. "So i have taken into consideration an offer the king gave us to help a few years back..." He said starting to trail off.
"That's amazing dad, have u agreed yet?" I asked all excited. (if the king gives us his support that will only give us so many benefits)
"That's what i wanted to talk about " he said "he offered his protection and help with anything but he wanted a strong woman to marry his son off and when he came to see... he chose you. You don't have to do it tho we can just deny.."
(now that he mentioned it, i do recall seeing someone well dressed and coming to talk to my dad once a year for the past 3 years)
"Dad it's ok, don't worry, i'll think about it, yeah?"
"Alright but don't feel pressured in the slightest dear."
I just smiled at him and left to take a walk in the forest.
(How am i gonna get married to someone i don't know and i have never seen?! What if he treats me terribly! Ugh what am i gonna do?)
