Seeing his granddaughter's accusing glare, Lee Soohyuk lightly laughed. "Release my granddaughter, Kim Taehyung." His expression was amused, but his tone served as a clear warning. He wouldn't be taking no as an answer.

Kim Taehyung actually respected Lee Soohyuk a lot, even before he had ever met Lee Jennie. He knew the man's military background very well. He enlisted into the army at a very young age and made a name for himself as a reputable Major General. Lee Soohyuk held an esteemed position in many people's hearts, especially the older generation who had witnessed his great accomplishments.

He was the master of the Lee Hotel empire, and defying his wishes was very hard, even for a man like Kim Taehyung.

Kim Taehyung stared at Lee Jennie's distrustful expression before sighing and releasing her. The minute he did so, she glared at him like a spoiled child who had to yield to get her wish.

Lee Soohyuk turned towards everyone present. "Meeting adjourned." It took these two simple words to have everyone scramble out of the room.

Even though the people were shocked to finally know the position of Lee Jennie, they were still surprised.

Lee Soohyuk was notorious for ignoring his grandchildren, what made her so special? Was it because she was the only granddaughter that pursued the business world?

None of them dared to question their scary boss, so within the blink of an eye, the room was cleared. Even Kim Taehyung's personal team was send out of the door. Only Lee Soohyuk, Kim Taehyung, and Lee Jennie remained in the glass room.

"If that is all, grandfather, I will be going home-"

"I remember you haven't had breakfast or lunch yet. It is well into the afternoon, you must be starving." Lee Soohyuk quickly changed the topic of discussion, and right on cue, a light rumble echoed throughout the room.

Lee Jennie could feel a heavy blush traveling from her neck to her cheeks at the humiliation of her stomach grumbling.

She had indeed skipped dinner last night and this morning, she didn't even eat breakfast.

Of course, her stomach would demand food, but she couldn't help but feel embarrassed. Out of all of the time in the world, it had to make its presence known now?!

Kim Taehyung bit his bottom lip to stop himself from smiling in amusement. Seeing the usually composed and cold woman become so flustered by a simple noise made by her tiny stomach was a delight. She was even blushing. How cute.

"I texted Li Xuan to bring your favorite stewed beef with braised eggs from your favorite restaurant. It will be arriving in five minutes." Lee Soohyuk added on, purposely listing the menu to entice her to stay longer.

Upon hearing the word "favorite", Kim Taehyung's ears immediately perked up.

He quietly pulled out his phone to let Park Jimin know that he wanted the restaurant's name. In order to ensure she would forever be able to enjoy her favorite food, Kim Taehyung was willing to pay off the owner to make sure that Lee Jennie can enjoy their dishes anytime she wished to.

Lee Jennie looked away, her eyes refusing to meet the obvious mirth dancing in both of the men's eyes.

"I-I suppose I'll stay here for lunch." She said, finally sitting back down.

It was refreshing to see such a bashful and embarrassed expression on his granddaughter's face.

She was usually stoic and nonchalant, and seeing her finally expressing normal emotions for a woman her age was enough to warm Lee Soohyuk's chest.

It didn't take long for the food to arrive. There was a wide variety of dishes, yet the only one that caught her interest was the restaurant's signature braised beef that just seemed to fall apart upon the first bite.

Lee Jennie ignored Kim Taehyung's obvious stare as she happily devoured the food in front of her.

She would occasionally place different side dishes into her grandfather's plate, while visibly not bothering to care for Kim Taehyung who was placing more beef into her rice bowl.

Lee Soohyuk watched the exchange with amusement. His granddaughter was completely nonchalant that he kept refilling her bowl. She pretended to not see him.

After a while of watching Kim Taehyung uselessly stare at Lee Soohyuk, looking as if he hoped that she would reciprocate and place something on his still empty bowl, Lee Soohyuk decided it was time to stop torturing the poor boy.

For heaven's sake, he looked like a pitiful dog abandoned by his owner!

Even his personal team of assistants waiting outside was beginning to feel sympathy for their hardworking boss!

Lee Soohyuk didn't know what Lee Jennie did to unknowingly hug the biggest thigh in the country, but he didn't underestimate her abilities.

Deliberately ignoring him, wanting to escape his presence. He wondered if this was what the youngsters called "playing hard to get."

When Lee Jennie placed a deboned fish on her grandfather's bowl, he spoke up. "Jennie, I think Kim Taehyung's bowl is missing some fish. Don't you think so?" He asked her in an obvious attempt to include Kim Taehyung into the conversation. They were business partners. He had not forgotten how Kim Enterprise had saved Lee Corporation when he severed ties with the Xu family.

Lee Jennie pursed her lips as she glanced at Kim Taehyung who looked at her with a slightly hopeful expression.

In all honesty, she was confused about why he was so intrigued by her. Shouldn't men like him have a beautiful woman with a stellar reputation that matched his beside him? An A-List celebrity or an heiress from a powerful family would be a better partner for him...

Slowly, Lee Jennie deboned another fish and placed it on Yang Feng's plate. She watched in amusement as he ate the fish like it was the best thing in the world, even though she purposely gave him the least flavorful part of the fish.

She decided it was better to at least treat him nicely during their meal time, so she scooped some steamed scallop eggs into his bowl.

Kim Taehyung gratefully accepted it with a bright smile. "How did you know I liked steamed scallop eggs, Jennie?" He asked her, his tone light and airy.

"I didn't. You're thinking too much into it." She mumbled, looking away from his pressing eyes.

His gaze never left her during the entire meal and she had to keep on checking if there was any rice stuck to her face.
