"I don't get it"

The cat said while looking at the young man in front of her

"I'm sorry principal Yummi, What is it that you don't get?"
He replied even more confused

"You young man, I don't get you"

He knew something was up when Mrs. Fiora told him that the principal was looking for him, which is very unusual since the school year hasn't even started yet, he was early on campus because he wanted to get his things accommodated before everything become a fuss with the freshman everywhere and for a lack of something better to do at town since he really didn't had a home to go back, not after the incident with the orphanage.

Which is why he kept wondering what could he possibly had done to be called onto the principal office so early, it must be a new record he even thought.

"I'm sorry Princiy but that just make me even more confused, Is this because of my grades?" The younger one asked knowing that the last year he got decent grades, that shouldn't be a problem right?

"Oh no no no. Your grades are fine, average even, nothing to really talk about on that topic "

Ouch... He thought, being called basic from the principal wasn't his idea of a welcome first day on campus.

"What troubles me (Y/n) is how exactly are you keeping this grades, specifically on your combat related subjects"
The principal looked at him expecting an answer but the young man remained quiet.

"I've been told from your teachers that you refuse to use any kind of magic on a combat related aspect, which is quite disappointing since I've also been told that you are an exceptional spell caster"

Spell caster... He repeated in his mind. That was the class he was given upon passing the entrance exam las year.

The school separated class schedules in classes so people with different talents as they call them will have classes related to their talents.

Spell caster of course mean that he was assigned to the magic related courses, learning how to control, create and fight with magic. But it was that last part that he was not a fan of.

As he grew up homeless and running errands to survive in the city people always told him that his magic was not something they've seen before

"As you know, in your blood flows a very rare kind of mana. Something that only 1 in 10,000 of people get from their parents, which allowed you to heir the kind of magic your parents used"

That's exactly the problem. He muttered not trying to be disrespectful.

"And throughout your first year here in the Academy I was informed of your progress on the topic. It seems that your able to control and manipulate your unique magic almost perfectly, enough to be able to participate in the mandatory battle classes" The cat said making a big emphasis on the mandatory part.

"So that's why you're here today. The first semester of the last year your powers were not suitable for combat practices, that's why you did not had any of those classes. But after the summer vacations your progress was recognized by your teachers and you were assigned 3 combat classes a week"
