Ezra's POV
I can feel Loki staring at me, though that may be because I let his old nickname slip instead of his name. Gods, I missed him, and gods be damned I was so angry with him.

I grinned at Loki, and I offered him my hand.
"We'll talk later, for now, let's go kill some aliens." Loki grinned at me, and his eyes and hands glowed a faint green. Fuck, it was hot, but I need to stay focused.

The first wave of aliens flew from the hole in the sky, and I grinned, wider, upon seeing a wannabe dragon join them, made of metal, but not like my scales, real true metal.
"Loki, cover me while I get up on that big guy." He nods at me, and I wait for the dragon to fly between two buildings. I flex my claws, they were predictably smaller and duller, but still sharp enough.

Leaping at the building, I dig my claws into the metal and climb the building, then turn to the thing. I use the building as a grounding point, leaping off and catching the side of the thing, climbing on top and finding a solid plate near the center. Before I can fully spin the metal required to root my ankles to it, the Chituari bullet things are flying by my head. I wave my hand, throwing the thing to the ground with ease.
"Loki, do you misunderstand what it means to cover me?" I ask him, finally securing myself to the creature and steering it down next to him using reins I attached to his face, pure steel cables that wrapped up my forearm.
"No, dar-, Ezra, I was simply unaware of their presence, I had other targets." He answers, clearly almost calling me one of his pet names, and I nod.
"Get your ass up here, we're going for a ride on our new friend, beat the shit outta some aliens. You know, an average day."

He climbs up onto the creature, and I extend the cords to hold him on the back of our friend, who's name is now Gary. We start taking down wave after wave of Chituari with ease, and I'm glad I have Loki covering me because I had to break my focus to steer  Gary. After what felt like forever, I killed the last Chituari, and watched in concern as a mortal in a metal suit fly into the closing portal. Then the Chituari start powering down.
"Shit. Loki, can you teleport us out of here, because I won't be able to stop Gary from crashing and crushing us."
"Yeah. I'll need to hold at least your wrist-"
"I can't untangle it right now, man up, grab my upper arm or waist or fucking pick something because I'm not dying for this."
He grabs my waist and in a flash of green, we're standing in front of the group of mortals who helped defend the simple city.

They draw their weapons, and despite being worn out and barely able to summon tin, I jump in front of Loki and my siblings, flexing my class and glaring.
"Stop." Thor says, motioning for the mortals he seems aquainted with to put down their weapons, and they do so hesitantly. "Brother. They say you did not want this. Did you?"
Loki didn't answer, instead starting at the ground. He finally dropped his hands away from me, but I grabbed his hand again.
"He was mind controlled. Hey Theo, Aria, weren't one of the mortals mind controlled." They tilt their heads, but before they could try to break down the mortal's barriers, Loki points out a man with a bandage on his head, a sleeveless shirt, and a bow and arrow.
"Thanks Loki. Theo, you're better at healing the mind right?"
"Yeah I guess. Freeing from mind control isn't exactly healing, it'd be faster if Ari and I could do it together."
"Ok do it together then, but hold off for his consent, obviously."
------------------------------------------------------------------
After several hours of boring negotiations, mind healing, and general conflict, the mortals, The Avengers as they call themselves, deemed Loki innocent, and invited him, and my siblings, to stay in the Tower with the mortals.

Loki was staring at me the entire time, but after negotiations, I planned to ignore him completely, like he did to me for the last 100 years.  I walk to my assigned room, right next to Cal's, and go to find some food, mortal food, as I hadn't eaten in quite a few days.
