he said with the sweetest and kindest smile possible

"SO you are the one paying my hospital bills?"

"you got it right buddy!"

he said in a very cheereful tone 

which was quite opposite of taehyun

those who are confused that sari had parents, why is taehuyn paying?

that is because her parents were out of town when she committed suicide and also being overly strict, they did not give her that much of allowance (meaning she has no savings)
