The sun gently filtered through the curtains, casting a soft morning glow across the room. I stirred, slowly becoming aware of my surroundings. Blinking sleep from my eyes, I sat up and stretched, feeling the stiffness from sleeping on the floor. Memories of the previous night flooded back, and a contented smile tugged at my lips. It had been a while since I had a sleepover with Gwen, and it was just as fun and comforting as I remembered.

My gaze drifted to the bed, where Gwen was still sleeping peacefully. Her blonde hair was slightly mussed, and she looked so peaceful in her slumber. I couldn't help but feel a fondness wash over me as I watched her. But that fondness, well, it was starting to grow into something more, something that was becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

There was something serene about the scene, something that made my heart flutter even though I tried to ignore it. I had developed a growing crush on Gwen, and moments like this, when she was so close yet so unattainable, made it even harder to keep my feelings in check.

With a sigh, I got up from the floor and tiptoed to the bathroom to freshen up. The cold water helped clear my head a bit, but there was no denying the truth that was gnawing at me. I had a crush on Gwen, a crush that was growing stronger with each passing day. And it wasn't just a fleeting attraction; it was something deeper, something that I couldn't simply brush aside.

As I returned to the bedroom, Gwen began to stir, her eyelids fluttering open. She looked at me with a soft smile, and I returned it, trying to mask the internal turmoil I was feeling. We exchanged morning greetings, and then Gwen stretched and yawned, looking just as adorable as she did in any other moment.

"Morning," she mumbled, rubbing her eyes.

"Good morning," I replied, my heart doing a little dance in my chest.

Gwen glanced around the room and then looked at me with a teasing grin. "How did the floor treat you?"

I chuckled, giving her a mock glare. "Oh, you know, it was a five-star experience."

Gwen laughed, the sound filling the room with warmth. It was in moments like these that my feelings for her became almost overwhelming. I had to remind myself that she was just a friend, and I shouldn't read too much into things.

We spent the morning in a leisurely manner, making breakfast together and exchanging stories and laughter. We decided to make breakfast together, falling into our usual routine. As we scrambled eggs and buttered toast, I couldn't help but notice the way Gwen's fingers moved with precision, her concentration unwavering. She was so capable, so independent – qualities that I both admired and, if I was honest, found attractive.

The morning sunlight bathed the kitchen in a soft glow, and as we sat down to eat, I found myself drawn to the way Gwen's eyes sparkled in the light. She was talking about something that had happened in school, but my attention was drifting.

"Y/n? Earth to Y/n." Gwen's voice snapped me out of my thoughts, and I blinked, focusing on her.

"Sorry, got lost in thought for a moment," I said, offering her an apologetic smile.

Gwen chuckled, her eyes curious. "Everything alright?"

I nodded, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, just thinking about stuff."

Gwen's gaze held mine for a moment longer, as if she was trying to read my thoughts, but then she shook her head and continued with her breakfast.

After breakfast, we cleaned up and settled back in the living room. I found myself stealing glances at Gwen as she went about her morning routine, and I couldn't help but notice how Gwen would sometimes glance at me, her gaze lingering for a moment longer than necessary. It was as if she was trying to say something, but the words were trapped behind a barrier neither of us was willing to break.
