Michikatsu Tsugikuni in the Taisho Era

Chapter 2: Transported

Michikatsu's eyes hurt a little. After he opened his eyes.. blinking a few times because of how it blinded him. He realized hes not in the village anymore.. a forest? Michikatsu is completely confused. He was in the village so what is he doing in the forest? Michikatsu tried to whistle to call his crow but.. nothing. "What in the world..? wasn't that Blood Demon Art meant to kill me or something? It transported me instead." Michikatsu had no choice but to explore. He continued to walk until he found a bunch of corpses laying.. covered in blood.

Michikatsu went towards the corpse to check if they are alive. "No pulses.. poor being." Michikatsu then started running at full speed trying to find a way at least where he is. After a few running he heard screamings. He quickly ran towards it and found another one who is alive. But injured. The demon that looked like a spider was about to sting him with his tongue. Michikatsu quickly came by and sliced the demon in half.  "Wh-what have you done..!" The slayer gotten even more terrified. "What do you mean? It was trying to kill you." Michikatsu didn't quite understand why the slayer was angry. "That was my friend! he..! he got bit by those weird spiders and it turned him this way..!" Michikatsu felt awful that he killed his friend. However. "If he truly was your friend maybe he wouldn't have straight up jumped at you. He was a demon. So hes gone." 

As Michikatsu opened his eyes he noticed that the slayer he saved just deformed too.. "Guess he got bit too huh?" Michikatsu had no choice but knock down the newly deformed spider. He was.. still terrified about what he just witnessed.. just who is responsible for this? can a demon do that? Michikatsu snapped back when he heard an incredibly loud thunder. He decided to follow it but ended up getting lost. "God.. is there no end to this forest?!" Michikatsu grew irritated.

It been an hour when Michikatsu was running around the forest. Until he came accross a group of people. They had the same uniform that it even covers their head. Michikatsu felt confused and noticed they were carrying injured people, to treat them and bandage them and export them to safety. This is entirely new to Michikatsu since he never seen anything like this in the sengoku era.  He decided to follow them since he had no where to go. 

It been quite a long wait until he heard loud things. It was the crows, they were yelling saying that a bunch of people must be taken back to the headquarters. "Tanjiro kamado! and the demon girl Nezuko! bring them back! caw!" Michikatsu realized it a Kasugai crow. But it wasn't his crow.. He is still worried about what is happening right now.   

A group of the people who wears the same uniform started to move at haste. Michikatsu noticed and got down from the tree to follow them. It been quite a long run actually. It been an hour until finally, Michikatsu seen things that he never seen before. a bunch of wisteria flowers. It was beautiful and Michikatsu was amazed. He realized that the people he was following were starting to get away so he started running at full speed to catch up to them. It been a long run until Michikatsu seen something very new. It a huge building.. it looks.. similar to the Demon Slayer Corp in the sengoku era.. why does it look different all of a sudden? 

Michikatsu managed to sneak in. He knew he was like an intruder but he was curious. It was morning and the sunlight finally popped up. Michikatsu watched from afar that the same person who wears the same uniform like others he looked closer until he noticed the back of the person's uniform has a word in kanji.. "Kakushi".. Michikatsu instantly understood with the strange masks on their head.. does it mean it to hide or cover.. or even conceal? This is entirely new to him.

After getting a bit closer.. He saw a group of people with strange looks. He also noticed someone similar to.. Rengoku..

Michikatsu really got confused as he never seen the others who are standing next to Rengoku until he was interrupted by something. He turned around and noticed a short kakushi speaking to him. "Excuse me.. who are you? please don't stand there this is the hashira meeting! are you a new slayer? did you get lost?" The Kakushi seemed to be wanting to help Michikatsu. Michikatsu agreed in order not to raise suspicion "Sorry.. I'm new to this so I pretty much got lost." the Kakashi felt happy as it the moment where they can finally help someone. "Please come with me! I noticed you don't have your uniform and the way how tall you are I think we should create you one. Let go to where we could measure." Michikatsu still did not understand.

"Hello everyone! We need to create a new uniform for this tall man." The kakushi who was leading Michikatsu was a female. The other Kakushis who were relaxing pulled out their boxes and put their glasses on and started to grab tools. "Hello. you must be new here. What's your name?" The kakushi started to use his tool to measure so they could create a fitting uniform. "I'm Michikatsu Tsugikuni. what is this place?" The Kakushis felt confused to Michikatsu's question but answered anyways. "This is the Demon Slayer Corp. this is where people gather together to train and get stronger to fight demons. We give them uniforms for not only to know the rankings but to know which class you are. We are Kakushis, our job is to grant support for the Demon Slayers. we also clean the damage done by demons after the battle so that everything goes back to normal as if nothing happened." 

Michikatsu found it intresting. "Alright thank you for your patience. You may return tomorrow for your uniform. In the mean time let me lead you where you can rest." Michikatsu followed the Kakushi to the butterfly estate. "This is the butterfly mansion. it basically a hospital. We take injured Demon Slayers there for further recovery. You seemed to have been in a rough battle so you deserve a rest." The Kakushi passed by and found a girl with blue butterfly pins. "Lady Aoi. How are the three slayers doing?" Aoi turned around, "They are doing great. They sure have been through a tough battle." The kakushi bowed down "Sorry to trouble you but please take care of this slayer I brought. hes been in a rough battle and hes exhausted." Aoi noticed the bags under Michikatsu's eyes and nodded.
