"THE TIME HAS COME KIDS," Makarov began. "I've done all I can in service for this guild. Allow me to introduce Fairy Tail's next master."

Macao proudly wiped the sleeves of his jacket and smiled. "I'm honoured, master."

Makarov stepped to the side and motioned to the space next to him. "The fifth master of Fairy Tail: Gildarts Clive!" he announced. Y/n slammed her fist against the table and got up. "WHAT?! You can't be serious!"

But Gildarts was absent.

Mirajane revealed that the ginger had left a note behind, and while Makarov read the letter aloud, he almost fainted when he became guild master once again.

Laxus got accepted as a member of Fairy Tail, much to Y/n's annoyance.

"I guess you got lucky. Gildarts makes stupid decisions." Y/n claimed, leaning closer to sneer at the blond.

Laxus rolled his eyes and pushed her head away from his face, earning a scoff from the water mage. 

"Don't touch me!"

"Then maybe you should learn to shut up!"

"There's idiots like you preventing me!"

"Oh, please. Even Natsu is smarter than you. I'm sure you'll manage to learn."

"Excuse me?! That's funny coming from you!"

"I told you to shut up, didn't I?!"

Y/n moved closer to the dragon slayer and pointed a finger at him. "Looks like you got your tongue back, filthy rat. What's with all the big words, honestly?"

Laxus glared at the girl and smacked her hand away from his face. It ticked Y/n off, so she shaped a dagger with her water abilities and pointed it under his chin. "Hands off me, germ!"

Laxus held his hand in front of the dagger, preparing to attack. "So you're a germaphobe, too? You know, you'll get electrocuted if I were to use my magic."

Y/n smirked. "So you admit you're a germ? A nasty one that got expelled?"

"Y/n. Shut your mouth."

The tension in the hall grew. Y/n continued to stare down at the irritated Laxus.

"Should I remind you of your mistakes? All the things you've done? I'd say it's betrayal, no?"

Y/n's eyes narrowed as she pointed the dagger closer to his throat. "What are you talking about, Laxus?"

The corner of his lips twitched as he crossed a leg over the other. "My, how the tables have turned."

Goosebumps grew on Y/n's skin as she backed away, only to notice how the others watched their discussion attentively. Mirajane smiled and moved closer to put a hand on Y/n's shoulder. "Calm down, Y/n. How about we-"

"Not now, Mirajane."

Mirajane pursed her lips and turned around. "Oh, all right then."

"Stop it already, you two!" Erza snapped.

Laxus leaned back in his seat, unbothered by the redhead and the angry mage threatening to slice his throat.

Y/n made the dagger disappear and angrily left the guild.

Erza put her hands on her hips as she gave him a look of disapproval. "Did you have to provoke her like that, Laxus?" The blond scoffed and looked away. "She's been holding grudges for too long."

Laxus took a sip of his drink and huffed afterwards. 'Stupid mermaid and her anger issues.'

As if adding fuel to a blazing fire, Bixlow patted Laxus on the back and massaged his shoulders. "Don't be so mad, Laxy~ Who knows, maybe she fancies you? You never know with women and their drama."

Laxus slammed his hand down the table, breaking it in process, as he got up and glared down at him.

"Be quiet, Bixlow. I'm not in the mood for your stupid jokes."

Evergreen and Bixlow stiffled their laughs while Freed looked away from them.

"Stop annoying Laxus! There's no way she likes him." he protested. Evergreen and Bixlow exchanged knowing gazes as they waved his comment away with a giggle.

"They like each other, I'm sure of it."

"Bet?"

"1200 Jewels if Y/n makes the first move!"

"Hell yeah! 750 Jewels if Laxus does!"

"Bixlow! You're so greedy! Put some more Jewels!" Evergreen whined.

"Not everyone's as rich as you!"

"BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP!"
