Sidney POV:

Sitting beside Dewey's chair in the police station, I found solace in the sense of security it provided. Dewey toiled away at his computer, diligently searching for any information on my father's whereabouts. Anxiously, I posed the question, "Did you manage to locate him?"

Dewey, seeking confirmation, inquired, "Are you certain he was staying at the Hilton?"

"At the airport," I replied, hoping to reaffirm our starting point.

A hint of disappointment shadowed Dewey's countenance. "He hasn't registered there," he murmured. Frustration crept over me, and I instinctively massaged my temples. "Could he have chosen to stay somewhere else?" He wondered

"I don't know. I suppose so," I replied, still reeling from the events that had unfolded.

Dewey leaned in closer, his voice filled with reassurance. "Don't worry, Sid. We'll locate your father," he promised, his determination unwavering.

Glancing towards Sheriff Burke's office, my gaze inadvertently met Billy's. It was difficult to tear my eyes away from him, the weight of our shared history palpable. Tatum would soon arrive to accompany me.

And Dewey kindly agreed to provide transportation, Sheriff Burke, understanding the situation, requested that I utilize the side exit to avoid the swarm of reporters eagerly waiting outside.

Dewey kindly offered to retrieve the car while Tatum and I patiently waited. However, our plans were abruptly disrupted when Gale, accompanied by her cameraman, appeared before us. My emotions surged as I harboured a deeply personal grudge against her, and without thinking, I lashed out, delivering a forceful punch directly to her face.

William POV:

Sidney had asked me to come over to Tatum's place. As I pulled up to the house, I spotted Sidney waiting outside. She looked adorable, wearing a pink gown. I stepped out of the car, cigarette in hand.

"Hey," I greeted, waving at her.

Sidney waved back with a gentle smile. She came down the steps and gave me a hug. "I heard about your knockout punch," I teased, playfully poking fun at her.

"You should learn to keep an eye out," she joked back, breaking the hug.

Sidney crossed her arms and brushed her hair back. "They still haven't found my dad," she said with a worried tone. "I'm scared about this killer and what he mentioned about my mother."

I reached out and gently touched her shoulder. "Don't lose hope. Dwelling on it only makes it worse. I know what it's like after my mother passed away."

"What happened to your mother?" Sidney questioned, looking at me with curiosity.

I took a drag from my cigarette and exhaled slowly. "It's a complicated story," I replied, not wanting to reveal the truth to her just yet.

I noticed Tatum's shadow in the window, observing us. That nosy gossip-monger always thrived on drama. Before leaving, I told Sidney, "I'll see you at school tomorrow." She nodded, a tinge of sadness in her eyes.

Within moments, I gently lifted her chin and leaned in, pressing my lips against hers. It was a brief kiss that lasted a few seconds. Afterward, I got into my car and drove away. Rather than feeling regret or guilt, I felt a sense of pride, a wide smile adorning my face.

Sidney POV:

As I sat on the bed, I was still in shock from William's unexpected kiss. Tatum, always the playful one, took great pleasure in teasing me about it, using her teddy bear to mimic our voices. "So, really? William Kane?" she mocked.
