Who are you?
Ava
"Heyyyy girly" Rachel says as she runs into my room.
"Hey!" I reply giving her a hug.
"We have to finalize everything for Friday!" She squeals.
Today is Thursday and our summer bash is on Friday. We've thrown one for the past 3 years and they're always a blast.
"The invites were given out last week to our list of 50, but people normally just show up so we should have food for 100." She explains.
We make a good list that has the normal chips, pretzels and soda, etc... I text it to my mom so she can buy everything while she's at the store. Since we can't really set up for the party until tomorrow we decide to go to the mall. We grab our long boards and skate into town. It only takes like 20 minutes and then were there. We ditch our long boards in the bushes out front and head inside.
We goof around trying on clothes and jamming to music in the dressing room. We both ended up with a new bathing suit and a couple pairs of shorts. We head out of American Eagle and over to Starbucks. I order a Vanilla Frappe and Rachel gets a Carmel iced coffee. We both decide to head back to my house so we go and look for our long boards. As we head outside we see a group of boys all standing around where they are. I push past them when someone says my name.
"Hey Ava, so I heard about your party tomorrow?" I hear someone say.
I turn around and see Bryce, the captain of the football team. He's holding our boards and I roll my eyes at him.
"Give us our boards back Bryce" I ask.
"If you give me a kiss." He smirks.
I walk up to him and pretend to kiss him when I kick him in the balls, grab our boards and start running. We run all the way to the park before we stop. Rachel and I die laughing as we ride back to my house. As soon as we get home we decide it's pretty late (10:00) and decide to head to sleep so we will be plenty rested for tomorrow. I set up Rachel's sleeping bag on the floor and we both drift to sleep.
*next day*
*beep beep beep*
My alarm rings its familiar, yet obnoxious, sound as the clock strikes 12:30pm. We decided to sleep in more because we didn't have that much to do. My mom and dad had already left for there business trip so we could start decorating.
Rachel and I headed downstairs and made some toaster waffles, yum my favorite. We drenched them in syrup and ate peacefully while planning the day out.
The party started at 4:30 so that's 4 hours ish. After we're done eating, we began to get set up. Streamers are hung outside from the balcony over reaching the pool and also inside the house off the staircase and ceiling. Soda is placed in the coolers with ice and stuck outside. Snacks get poured into the baskets and spilt up between outside and inside. Extra deck furniture is put out and the pool is all clean. After 2 hours of set up, it's finally time to get ready.
I get a shower and just leave my hair naturally wavy since we will be swimming. I throw on a black bikini top with blue and purple flower bottoms. Over top I put on a white flowy crop top and my favorite denim shorts. Rachel wears her pink and yellow matching bikini with a pink flower crop top and denim shorts. After we're all ready, it's 4:00 and the party is almost ready to start.
People begin to arrive around 4:20ish. We allow them in and escort them to the backyard. At around 5, there's about 75 people here. It's another success.
I head inside and see Bryce and his football gang entering my house. He sees me immediately and calls me over. I can smell the alcohol on his breath and I cringe when he talks. I see a new kid with him. He's littler than the others and he has gorgeous blue eyes. I smile and say hi but Bryce shoots him a look and he backs down.
"Oh no princess, you're mine." Bryce says as he drags me around the corner into the empty dinning room...
