On a hot June day somewhere in the Midwest. In a place called Detroit, 3 o'clock strikes and a bell rings. All the kids flood into the hallway from Marcus Garvey Elementary School. School is letting out for the summer and three best friends named John, Juan and Jiyon all meet up outside the front door of the school. Ready to say their farewells to each other. "Hey guys," says John. "What do you two have planned for the summer?" Jiyon says "I'm going to visit my grandparents with my mom and dad in Kyoto this summer." Juan looks over at his 2 friends and shouts.
