Part 6

Finally we arrive at Brooklyn's kindergarten. Pouring out the door, all the kids run to their moms. Out last comes Brooklyn.
"Yasminnnnne!!!!"
Brooklyn shouts when he sees me.

"Aww he is so cute!"
Cameron picks him up and places him on his shoulders.

"Wheeee!!"
Brooklyn bobs excitedly on Cameron's shoulders even though they hardly know each other!

We walk home, Brooklyn staying on Cam's shoulders the whole way. Cam is so great with kids (Not that I'm preparing for the future or anything 😉)!

Walking up the drive, I grab my keys out of my pocket and open the door.

"Mom?" I call out, but my reply was only an echo of myself. I turn to Cameron -
"We're home alone!! Brooklyn needs a nap so he can go to bed now until mom gets back."

"Ok then. Let's not waste any time!"

So we rush up the stairs two at a time with Cam carrying sleepy Brooklyn to his bed and tucking him in. He sings a sweet little nursery rhyme for Brooklyn as well.
Easing the door shut, we carry on down the hallway to my room.

"So this is my room! What d'ya think?"

"Loving that you might have just possibly made your bed up before I came round on purpose!!"

I blush when I see him wink at me-
"Ew no!! We hardly know each other yet!"

"Ok ok! Anyway can we get on with my homework now?"

"Yeah sure. I just gotta go grab my book from my bag.."

On my return to the bedroom, we sit down ON MY BED and I basically do all his homework for him. When we finish he shuts his book, looks up at me and says-

"Well I guess I better be going now. See you tomorrow then."

"Yeah okay then. Can I at least give you a send off?!"

We both laugh-

"Ok then Miss Lawrence. Lead the way!" He says in a cute English accent.

I hear mom's car coming up the drive. I better get Cam out of here in case she suspects something and I get a big embarrassment!

I lead him down the stairs, open the back door and say-

"See you tomorrow. Bye!"

I'm about to shut the door, when he pushes it back open.

"Hey Yasmine, I just want you to know, I like you. I like you so much it might even be love..can I kiss you?"

Without waiting for a reply he leans in. There is that tingling sensation I get whenever he's around. But this time it was more powerful. Like butterflies in my stomach...

Our lips touch, and I don't know if he can feel it too but there is something magical about him and I. We just connect, like the missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle. He gets hold of my waist and pulls me in so that I can almost feel his six pack on my body!

I break the kiss, still hugging him.

"I like you too. I like you so much I think it might even be love as well!"

He smiles his heart-melting smile, lets go and the moment is lost.

"See you around babe" he says.

"I love you!" I say, blowing him a kiss.

"I love you too!" He calls out to me, blowing a kiss back as he leaves through the gate.

Those words mean so much to me. I can't believe that happened! The boy of my dreams just kissed me! I shut the door and smile to myself as I walk upstairs with a spring in my step.
