Erin's pov

Present

"Wake up slut," I heard melony whisper. I opened my eyes to see her standing over me. I looked at the clock and it was 1:07 am. Before I could say anything she grabbed my arm and pulled me out of my room an down the hall all the way outside to the boys dorm. "Did you bring the girl?" I heard a low voice ask. "Yup," melony responded. "What am I doing here? I asked nervously. "You'll figure out soon enough," e boy said and then grabbed my arm and dragged me into the forest. Can you guess what happened there? he beat me and raped me. I should have seen that coming, I mean it's early in he morning and its the woods, what did I think was going to happen. I was used to beatings, but this was new. After he let me go I ran back into my room. I wanted to keep crying but I couldn't. I went into the bathroom and showered, trying to get the feel of him off of me. After my shower undid my normal morning routine, pee, brush teeth, cut, ya know, the usual. I know you're judging me, but if you were in my place you would too. It's the only way I can relieve the pain. After all of that, I got dressed and went downstairs. I was greeted by melony, "did you like that slut? because you're going to do that every Thursday so I can get my cash." She told me. I didn't answer, I couldn't fight back or else she could do something worse. I don't know what was worse, but she could think of something. "An if you ever tell anybody of this than I will personally hire someone to kill You. You got that freak?" she whispered, pulling me out of my thoughts. I nodded, maybe if I just didn't talk my life would get better. No one would care if I went mute, I barely talk anyways. "Answer me!" melony yelled. I shook my head and ran back upstairs. If no one respects my opinion than I won't give it. It's not like I get a say in anything that happens in my life. The rest of the day, I spent cooped up on the roof where no one could bother me. I stayed there until I heard miss Jane calling me. "erin, come here. we need to talk," she yelled. I got down and walked into her office and say down. "Erin, your family wants to have dinner with you next Friday. is that ok with you?" she asked. No it wasn't but I knew she wasn't really asking, she was pretending I had a choice so I just nodded my head to say yes. "You sure?" she asked. I nodded my head again. "Erin why aren't you talking?" she questioned, obviously irritated. I pointed to a piece of paper and a pencil. He handed me the items and I started I write. She started reading the paper out loud, "no one cares about my opinion so what's the point in talking, my family didn't ask if I wanted to come here, no one cares about whether I want to be alone, so what the point?" she finished. "Erin, you have to talk." she said. I shook my head again. Miss Jane just sighed and sent me out of the room. I walked up to the roof and watched the sun set. I was skipping dinner but who cares, I'm already too fat. After about an hour of siting there I went inside to get ready for bed. When I was done I got into the bed and fell asleep fast.

Demi's pov

"Mom, the care worker said next Friday was fine!" I yelled. "Ok," he answered. Next Friday I would finally get to see my sister, the one we had to give up because of me. She probably hates us but we gave her up for a good reason. It's all my fault and I want to get her back but I don't know if she would let us. "Mom, why did you have to give her up? why couldn't she have just stayed somewhere else until I was out of rehab?" I asked. She didn't answer but I knew the reason. "Hey Demi, did the lady on the phone give you her number?" Dallas asked. "Yeah, she gave me her cell phone number," I responded. "Why don't you call her and talk to her without the family," Dallas suggested. "I'll give it a shot," I relied. I left the family an went upstairs into my room. I found the piece of paper with her number on it and I called her. The phone rang four times before a girls voice answered. "Hello," the voice said. "Is this Erin lovato?" I asked. "Yes, who is this?" she responded. "Before I tell you don't hang up. this is Demi." I answered. There was silence on the other end. I thought she hung up but then I heard her speak.

Erin's pov

Demi called me. I know I spoke into the phone but that was because after a lot of thinking, I realized my silence thing was stupid. "Why did you call me?" I asked angrily. "I wanted to talk to you without the entire family." she answered. "Don't," I replied and hung up.
