Percy POV:
I was with Annabeth going to Cafeteria to check on the other's progress. The second we reached the Cafeteria, I knew something was wrong. The door to the Cafeteria was closed, but I managed to get it open. There I saw something the made my blood run cold. Calypso stood in the center of the room, her white space suit stained red. I immediately knew it wasn't her blood when I saw Leo, a huge gash in his stomach, lying at her feet.
"I thought you loved me..." Leo gasped.
Calypso hadn't seen us yet, as she responded, "You were a fool to think anyone could love a stupid, pesky, repair boy." She said, sneering.
She plunged a knife into Leo's chest, and he went limp.
Annabeth gasped, and Calypso turned towards the sound. Her eyes were glowing bright red, and the knife in her hand dripped Leo's blood.
"What do we have here?" She said, sneering.
I pulled Annabeth behind me, not wanting her to be an obvious target.
"You said you'd stay away from her." I said through gritted teeth, trying to keep my anger under control.
"Well, I can't keep my word now that she knows who we are." Calypso responded.
In one quick move, I pushed Annabeth through the doorway and into the hall, then closed the door, leaving just me and Calypso.
I took out my knife and held it tightly as I felt my eyes start to glow.
Annabeth POV:
No way, My boyfriend, was an Imposter, the entire time. His race was supposed to be murderous, but he was nothing but kind, and friendly. He actually is probably in danger right now, just to keep me safe.
I ran down the hallway, needing to find Piper and Reyna.
I did find them, they were together working on welding some of the inner plates of the ship together.
"Guys, I know who the Imposters are!" I said, running in gasping.
"What?" Piper said, jumping to her feet.
"It's Calypso and..." I was interrupted by sirens blaring.
I frantically tried to figure out what had happened, when Percy ran in. There was a cut on his shoulder, and another on his leg. In one hand, he held a shiny knife.
"I highly suggest we get out of here Now! The ship is gonna blow!" He yelled, barely heard over the sirens.
"Why should we trust you? You're carrying a freaking knife!" Piper yelled back.
Percy looked down to his hand, like he'd forgotten that he had a knife in his hand. He then chucked it to the side and held up his hands in a 'I surrender' pose.
"What happened to Calypso?" I asked.
"She's unconscious currently, but I don't know how long she'll stay that way." Percy replied.
He gestured for us to follow him and ran into the halls. I looked at Reyna, and Piper, and we ran after him. We ran through the hallways, until we reached a portion of the wall that looked the exact same as the rest. Percy then kicked the wall down, revealing an escape pod in a hidden compartment.
He stood by as Piper and Reyna got in. He turned to me, and as I was approaching the ship, something hit the back of my leg, and I crumpled to the ground. I twisted myself, to see a knife embedded in my leg. Behind us, in the hallway, a furious Calypso stood, her helmet gone, her hair stained with blood. Her eyes glowed a furious red. Percy ran over and scooped me up in his arms. I looked up at his face and saw his eyes glowing red as well.
He ran with me to the pod, and pushed me in. Then he sealed it, and I pounded at the glass. I watched as Calypso tackled him down to the side. They were out of sight momentarily, until a hand hit a button, and the escape pod was sucked into space. The last thing I saw of Percy, was his signature lop-sided grin, before I could no longer see him. Then the ship exploded in a huge ball of fire, pieces flying in every direction.
Percy and Calypso were gone.
Only three of the twelve astronauts survived. Reyna steered the escape pod as Piper wrapped an arm around Annabeth. Then Annabeth noticed a leather bound book underneath one of the seats.
