The grope was only a mile or so away and Ember was close to punching Mary in the face. All she did was complain and it was starting to get to Ember. Finally just as she was really waying the pros and cons of hitting her Preston spoke up beside her "Well I'll be damned. It's the monument to the original Minutemen. I knew that was somewhere around Concord." Ember looked up to see Preston looking at the statue of her town, She gave a soft smile remembering the history lessons of her town and being able to tell her 2nd-grade classmates that she lived in the town it all started. "That means this right here must be the Old North Bridge. Where the first shots of the American Revolution were fired. I'd call that the best omen I've seen since we left Quincy." They started to walk over the bridge.

Sturges gave a chuckle "I don't know what you're talking about, boss, but I'm glad you're happy about it."

Everyone makes it over the bridge and Mama Murphy looks around then to me then around the town again "Sanctuary. I knew you'd join us here, kid. Your energy is tied to this place."

"I used to live here. A long time ago." Ember said looking at the destroyed homes of Sanctuary Hill

"Ah, but the distant past ain't so distant for you. I saw you leave that ice box. This whole world is like some bad dream you can't wake up from, isn't it?" Mama Murphy said with a sad look in her eyes "The Sight can help you, kid. It always has answers. Just gotta bring me some Jet, so I can see what it wants to tell you." Ember remembered people being addicted to drugs before the bombs and feels the same with whatever this Jet is.

"No. You're an addict. You need help. I don't know you for long but I feel like this group would be upset if you died of an overdose."

"Oh, not this again. Kid. Listen to me. I'm old. Even older than you'd think. If the chems are gonna kill me, then I say I've had a good run. We'd have never made it this far without the Sight. We need it. You need it. It's part of who I am."

" The Sight isn't worth killing yourself over, Mama Murphy. It doesn't have to define what you are, or what you can give. Plus think how heartbroken these people would be when one of them found you dead because of an overdose." Ember said looking towards Preston and Sterges looking at some of the houses. Mama Murphy followed her sight and let out a deep breath.

"All right, kid. You got me. If me hanging around for a little longer is worth that much to ya, then I'll go clean. No more chems. No more Sight."

Ember smiled at the woman "Thank you Mama Murphy I like having you around even if I just meet you today. Even if you can't help me find Shawn with the sight you gave me hope and that's more than I could ever ask for." the women gave the girl a smile at that and walked away. Ember looked to Preston and Sturges and made her way to them.

"I'm glad you decided to come with us. I should have listened to Mama Murphy all along. Pretty nice place she's found for us. I think we could settle down here, make it a place to call home. What do you think?" Preston asked Ember.

"I don't know. It's strange being back here." Ember said with a faraway look again.

"What do you mean? You used to live here or something?" Preston asked looking at her

"Yes... before the war... before everything was ruined."

Preston looked confused "What do you mean? Before what war? Are you saying..."

Ember picked up when he trailed off in confusion "I lived here... over 200 years ago. I was... frozen or something for most of it. Just woke up a little while ago."

"Damn. Like one of those old prewar ghouls... You say you were frozen... anybody else make it out with you?"

"Just my brother, Someone took him while I was still trapped I've been looking for him. That's who Mama Murphy talked about back in the museum" Preston looked shocked

"Damn. I'm sorry. I hope you find him. Let me know if there's any way I can help. Anyway I am glad your here." He shifts from foot to foot as if unsure to say something "And I hope you don't mind, but I've got another favor to ask. I've had word from a settlement asking for help. They're still hoping there are Minutemen out there somewhere. The only chance to start rebuilding the Minutemen is to show people that they can count on us when they need us. Trouble is, I've got my hands full here. Do you think you could go help out the settlement?" he sounded hopeful.

"What kind of help do they need?" Ember asked she wanted to get a head start to the station if there was a chance to get to her brother fast.

"Sounded like the usual - raiders. You'll have to get all the details when you talk to them." Preston said after a moment of thought

"I'd be glad to help. As long as it won't take too long I wana keep looking for my brother"

"That's fantastic. The Minutemen could use more people like you. If you let me see your Pitboy I can mark the general location of the settlement, so you know where to go." Ember held out her arm and Preston put the location on her map.

"If you want to fix this place up that's fine all the more power to you but I would aprisheat if you left that house alone" She pointed to her old house Sturges spoke for the first time since she got to them.

"That was your house, wasn't it?" Ember gave a node.

"I don't know if I'll come back and stay here when I find my baby brother or not but knowing it's still standing gives me hope and I told Cogsworth to clean up around here has my family's old Handy unit He won't hurt any of you and he is pretty helpful if you ask he will try to help." the two men give her a nod in understanding and they go their separate ways. Ember quickly made it to her home and put her nameplate on the counter and then looked at her Pitboy to see where she was to go to help the people.
