We ate our food. Slurped our drinks and talked the whole time about anything in the world.
It was not boring or exhausting, just a good feeling and a refresh of my mind.
The café was not full, we catched a good day. We had all the time in the world.

I got up from my chair and walked to the bar, I said to the lady friendly that I wanna pay for us. She tipped on the computer and told me to stuck my card in the machine and tip my pin in. Seconds later a recipe comes out of the machine. And she says goodbye to me smiling.

James went to the toilette and didn't see it. I sit down and wait for him. Any second later I can see him coming to me and sitting down smiling.
"Well, I have to get going home now." I said with a soft smile on my face.
"All right, I will go and pay for us." He wanted to stand up but I took his hand and causing him to stop.

"It was my treat, so I already paid. You helped me enough and what I just payed is nothing what you did for me."

He looked at me with a calm face. The sun is already gone and some clouds are now on the sky.
He comes to my side and stretches his hand out for me. I accept it and got up. He takes my jacket and holds it, so I can turn around and stuck my arms in. He pushes it over my shoulders and now I'm facing him again. He takes the first button and closes my jacket step for step. I don't move at all and just let it happen.

He gives me my purse and we both go out on the street again. It's a little cold so it's good that I brought my jacket.
He was not so smart and just standing in his shirt now. He doesn't show that the wind who is hitting him from the side, is bothering him. But I see his skin as it shivers.

"Well it was nice today. I have to get going now. Maybe we will do that again some time."
He stands beside me as I told him that, looking at the street before us. I stuck my hands in the jacket and stare at the street like him.

He moves his head so he can see me.
"Yeah it was nice."
Now he moves his whole body to me and I do too.

He moves his hand to my hair what was laying on my shoulders. He pushes it onto my back and strokes the hair before my ear behind it. We look each other in the eyes as his hand is still on my ear.
I move back so his hand goes back to his body.

"I have a question, can I ask you that?"
"Anything Olivia."
I look to the ground and breath in and out.
"Please tell me the truth now.. do you remember our first meeting?"
He moves his head.
He looks at me and just waits for me to speak again.
"You didn't wanted to let me in and you were really mean to me. But the next morning I woke up on the couch and you giving me clothes and money. You were nice and caring in a kind of way. Why?"

He looks at me not having a different look on his face. He turns around to face the street again but I still look at him waiting for an answer.

"When you are so surprised what I did, what do you think should I have done?
Should I just close the door and let you lay there, or call the security to throw you on the street? Tell me Olivia, would you do it different?"
I realize what he means and understand it now in a different way. I sighed quite and just look up at the clouds.

"You are right. I wouldn't have it done different. Sorry for that question."
"No need to be sorry."
I moved my head down again and took a step so I'm standing before him now.
"Goodbye James." I smile.
"Goodbye Olivia. Should I drive you home? " He said it in such a calm tone, that he almost was whispering.

I moved to the side, smiled and shaking my head and started going. After some steps I turned around stopping and catching him already looking at me with a kind smile. I waved to him and he waved back. He moved to his car standing at the side of the street and closing the door behind him. His engine started and he drove away.
I watch the car drive away until I can't see it anymore.
I carry on to walk. What a great time.

I open my door and walk inside. I take off my coat and shoes. I wanted to shower cause the day was over. I talked 2 hours with James and cause of the traffic it is now 6pm. I didn't do anything stressful today, actually the opposite of that. For some time I didn't think about work or Max. It was pretty good for me.

I walk into the kitchen and I see a man sitting on the chair. Max.
"'Maxwell? Wow thank you that you take your busy and precious time to share with me. Where did you sleep last night?"
I move my hand to the wall and turn the light on.
There he sits with a coffee in his hands.
"Olivia... Where the fuck where you."
"I asked you the same thing. I just wanted you to sleep on the couch last night. And not going out the house to sleep somewhere else."

"Answer my question." He sounds dark.
"Did you go out with that friend of yours?" He clenches his teeth and breath's loud.
"Well yes I was out with that friend." I pronounced the word 'friend' like he did.
"I don't want you to meet this man again." I'm shocked that he tries to tell me what to do.
"Maxwell. When I want to meet him again I will do that, I'm not asking for your permission."

He stands up and throws his cup aggressively onto the ground before him. I flinch and close my eyes for that second.
"That was no question Olivia. Don't ever meet him again."
I take all my courage to step forward: "I know it wasn't a question, but that doesn't change my answer."

He looks at me with eyes I never saw in his face. Filled with hate and skills I don't wanna experience. I don't wanna know what he is able to do. I don't wanna know what he feels right know.

He walks past me and slam's the door behind him as he leave's.

My lungs start to move again and giving my heart blood to pump. My eyes flicker to the ground seeing the broken glass. I move to the door and taking my shoes so I can walk without cutting into my feet.

I take the broom and sweep the mess up that he has left behind.
