Y/N stood by the window, staring out into the vastness of space, contemplating everything that had happened since he awoke on the space station.
'What happened to my world?' Y/N thought, confusion stirring inside him. 'The people here say this station was orbiting Earth, but when I look at it... it just feels wrong. It's similar, but it's not my world'. His thoughts drifted, uncertainty gnawing at him.
"You alright there, Gojo?" Himeko's voice pulled him from his reverie, her expression one of concern.
"I'm fine, just thinking... about stuff," Y/N replied. His voice carried an edge of frustration, though he tried to hide it. Himeko seemed unconvinced, but she let it go. Pressing him further wouldn't help right now.
"Anyway," Himeko continued, "what makes you so sure Stelle will join the Express? Earlier, you saw it too, right? That hesitation, like she didn't know what path to choose?"
"She'll choose the Express," Y/N replied confidently, crossing his arms.
'From what that lady said, and what I've seen... she'll definitely choose the Express. Even this 'Elio' saw this outcome,' Y/N mused to himself.
"And here she comes," Y/N noted as Stelle approached, looking determined. Himeko smiled slightly, her eyes glinting with satisfaction.
Stelle walked up to Himeko, her gaze determined. "I want to join the Express," she declared.
"Then come with me," Himeko said warmly, leading her towards the train. She gave Y/N a small, knowing smile, while Stelle glanced at him before following Himeko.
March skipped ahead cheerfully, "Alrighty!~ Let's go!" She headed towards the entrance, full of enthusiasm.
Y/N, still leaning against the Express, watched as Stelle followed Himeko. "Well? Time to get on," Y/N said, pushing himself off the side of the train. Stelle gave a slight nod and stepped aboard, a small smile tugging at her lips.
As the train pulled away from the station, Stelle and March stood by the window, waving goodbye to Herta, Asta, and Arlan. Y/N joined Himeko and Welt further inside the Express, though Dan Heng was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, a voice called out, grabbing Y/N's attention. "Ahem, you two! Over here!"
Y/N excused himself from the group and made his way toward the source of the voice, Stelle tagging along. They were greeted by a strange sight—Pom-Pom, the conductor of the Astral Express.
Stelle blinked in surprise. Y/N just looked confused. What... is that? he wondered.
"You two, yes, Pom-Pom's talking to you," the bunny-like creature said, pointing at them. "Himeko told Pom-Pom about both of your situations. Now listen up because Pom-Pom will only say this once. Pom-Pom is sure everyone's been telling you how special you are, especially you," Pom-Pom said, glancing at Stelle.
"But this is the Astral Express, and everyone has their secrets," Pom-Pom continued, eyeing Y/N now. "You'd better remember that."
"I'm Pom-Pom, the conductor. Come find me if you run into trouble," Pom-Pom finished, giving them both a small nod before bouncing away.
Y/N stared after the odd creature, raising an eyebrow. "Sassy, then nice... interesting combo," he muttered under his breath.
Deciding to explore a bit, Y/N's eyes were soon caught by a record player in the corner of the car. "A record player?"
"That's a phonograph," Pom-Pom piped up, interrupting Y/N's curiosity. "Himeko likes using it a lot. She says it can even play melodies from the past. Welt collects those jet-black discs. You'd make him very happy if you found more."
Hmm... looks like the door connects to other parlor cars, Y/N thought, when Pom-Pom again spoke up, clearly not finished.
"Hey! You don't have any questions for Pom-Pom?!" the creature asked in disbelief. Stelle, now seated, watched with amusement as popcorn somehow appeared in her hands.
"Is it because you think Pom-Pom talks too much? Or Pom-Pom's age? You youngsters need to learn to bridge that generation gap!" Pom-Pom said with a huff, scolding Y/N for his silence.
Y/N could only blink, looking dumbfounded.
Giving up on the conversation, he decided to sit down and gather his thoughts.
