Swimming lesson

It was Mina's fifth day at the public pool. Today too, she stood in the water, watching everyone's technique, watching how they would float and how they would swim, the way they moved their hands. She tried imitating the same movements, but more often than not, she would not move as far as she thought she would. So she decided to do some observing first.

Something, rather, someone Mina was very keenly observing today, was another woman. Probably new to the pool. Not that Mina was a veteran here. Mina was glad though, that she wouldn't be the only one who was still struggling to swim. She watched as the girl made her way to the pool. Her swimsuit had a mini skirt, a design that Mina had not seen before but quite liked anyway.

It was only when the girl looked back at Mina that Mina realized she was staring. She turned away quickly. But she couldn't keep her eyes away too long. She watched as the blonde took a position at the deeper end of the pool and then took a stance, and then dived so effortlessly in. When she reappeared at the surface, she fell into a freestyle with perfect rhythm.

Mina was amazed. When the blonde reached Mina's side of the pool, she stopped and caught her breath.

"That was brilliant!" Mina said. The girl was caught off guard, she turned to see if the voice she heard was talking to her.

Mina smiled at her. "That dive, it was brilliant," Mina said.

The blonde smiled. "Thank you," she said.

But she didn't say anything after that. And Mina had no idea how to take the conversation forward. So she just nodded. With that, the blonde went back to swimming. Mina watched everyone, still making mental notes, but mostly she watched the blonde.

When it was time for her to leave, she got out of the pool, and just before she could turn into the changing rooms, she turned to look back, unsure what she was really looking for and caught the blonde staring at her this time. But by the time she noticed it, she had already walked into the changing rooms.

Chaeyoung was no stranger to stares. People who knew about her talked about her. People who didn't know about her found out sooner or later. She was not new to stares. Especially when she was so different from other girls. Especially when she had a penis.

So when she noticed the brunette staring at her, she did her best to ignore it. But when she stopped at the end of the pool and heard someone speak to her, she took her glasses off to see the most stunning brunette she had ever seen in her life.

It was in moments like these that Chaeyoung wished she was not as shy as she is. But alas, her self-esteem had its moments.

When Chaeyoung left the pool that day, she couldn't help but regret not picking up a longer conversation. She had to admit it, the girl was beautiful.

It was Mina's sixth day at the pool today and she decided it was about time she started actually practicing instead of just observing. She was busy practicing her leg flaps, both hands stretched out to the edge of the pool. But her body just wouldn't lift up any higher. Frustrated, she tried flapping harder, but to no avail.

Her attention was suddenly drawn away by a pair of slender legs walking past her line of sight and then sitting on the edge of the pool right beside her. When she looked up, she recognized the blonde from yesterday.
