"Sorry I'm kind of...nervous, I really don't let anyone here I sing." I say as I look away. "Hey now its fine love, you have a beautiful voice though." Luke says. "Thanks, I'm actually a freshmen at Melbourne school of contemporary music (AU: I don't think this is a real school, I just made it up.)." I say. "Figures a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice, going to a contemporary school for music. I'm actually in like a rock band with my three other mates." he says as he takes a drink of his water. I manage to find out a lot about Luke during the whole flight. Like the name of his band is 5 Seconds of summer, His Bandmates or "mates" as he calls them are Luke, Michael, and Calum.

I woke to a gentle shake and looked to see I had fallen asleep on Luke's shoulder. "Hey Lauren we've landed." he says as I sit up and grab my carry on and laptop bag. I walked out of the plane and noticed cameras everywhere. The flashing of lights, and voices shouting out random thing. I noticed girls holding posters and shouting out Luke's name. I even managed to get knocked over in the process of waiting for my bags at the baggage claim. "Here Lauren." I saw Michael the one who was talking to Luke earlier pick me up and hand me my bag. "Thank you Michael. Tell Luke I said it was nice talking to him." I said as I waved bye.

———-Flash-forward———-

"Lauren dear how's school?" My Aunt Kelly asked. "It's going great, I've actually talked Professor Gosling into letting me write one of the pieces for the senior showcase, and he loved it so much, he offered to let me play it." I said excitedly. "That's wonderful sweetheart." My aunt said. I kissed he goodbye and made my way out the door. I was finishing up my year abroad in just two months, and I honestly didn't want to leave. I had managed to be top of my class, and I was working part time as a waitress at Moon under water. If my dad where here he would be so proud of me.

"Hey Lauren." I heard Kelsey shout. "Hey Kel-" I started to say but stop as I slipped a fell on my arse. "Ahhh!" I yelled. "Here let me help you up love." I hear as I see a hand reach down to help me up. "Thank yo-" "Lauren what a surprise." Luke said. "Who would have thought that I'd ever see you again?" I said as I stood up and collected my sheet music. "Why do you say that?" he questioned with a hurt tone in his voice. "I've been keeping up with you Luke, All the girls here seem to know who you and your bandmates are." I told him as I started walking to the concert hall.

"So you've basically been stalking me?" he said with a raised eyebrow. "No, Not stalk-Ugh Luke I have to go I have rehearsals, homework, and classes. I'm really busy." I said as I started to pick up my pace. "I'll be seeing you around, me and the boys are here to look for a pianist, and a song writer." he said as I continued on walking. "Lauren you butts dirty by the way!" he shouted. I opened the door and walked into the concert hall and towards the stage.

(AU: Lauren wrote the song A Thousand Years by Christina Perri)

I opened up my sheet music folder and turned to my latest project. A Thousand Years, a song I dedicated to my parents. I took a deep breath and placed my fingers on the keys. I started to play the notes as I had wrote them. I took another deep breath as I started to sing the lyrics:

"Heart beats fast Colors and promises How to be brave How can I love when I'm afraid To fall But watching you stand alone All of my doubt Suddenly goes away somehow One step closer I have died everyday waiting for you Darling don't be afraid I have loved you for a Thousand years I'll love you for a Thousand more."
