chapter 9-picnic

Gwen tried to free herself from Miles's grasp. "Miles wake up."
Miles slowly opened his eyes and realised what was happening and he quickly let go. "Morning gwen"
"Morning miles." Miles gave Gwen a peck on the cheek as he sat up in his bed. They both sat up in Gwen's bed.

GWENS POV:

I sat up next to miles. "Miles I'm going to get dressed turn around."
"Ok ok." I got dressed and he turned back to me.
"Can I get dressed now?"
"Of course miles"
I covered my eyes as he took of his top but I ended up peaking through my fingers and staring at his chest.

"I said look away"
I quickly turned around."sorry"
He finished getting dressed and we went into the kitchen. My dad had already left but he had cooked us bacon and sausages. We warmed them up and sat down at the table.
Miles then spoke up "I was thinking if you wanted to go on a picnic today?"

"Sure that would be lovely."
We finished our food and got our suits on. We started swinging around until we heard a massive explosion. We swung there and saw scorpion.
"I thought you were in jail."
He responded in Spanish.
Miles then suddenly went invisible and crept up behind him. I went in for a punch but he grabbed me. "I will crush your little girlfriend" he said while talking to miles. Miles saw red "YOU WILL NOT TOUCH HER." Electricity burst around him as he charged up a venom punch and hit him as hard as he could knocking him out instantly and he went flying into a wall

MILES POV:
I ran over to Gwen's nearly limp body while the police handcuffed scorpion. "Omg are you ok" I swung her up to a building and layed her down with her head in my lap. I took of her mask to see her unconscious. "Fuck fuck fuck it's all my fault" tears came down my cheeks. "Please wake up Gwen I love you." Suddenly I heard a faint response "I....I l....love you to m...miles"
She slowly opened her eyes.
She quickly says "can we still go on that picnic. "Sure" i say as I chuckle.

We go back to her house and get stuff for the picnic. We pack sandwiches,drinks,sweets,and some Mini sausages. We get to the park and lay out our picnic blanket and put picnic bag. I get lost in Gwen's eyes for a couple seconds before snapping out of it. We both lean in until both of our foreheads are touching. She is inches away from my lips and my heart skips a beat.
