『 ↝ deep night, deep talk ↜ 』

IN ANDIE'S HEAD the girls have been running for hours, which was actually barely twenty minutes. Ellie, who was leading the way, as usual, came to a full stop on a large field that once had agricultural purposes. Andie followed her soon after.
Both girls were panting. Andie leaned her arms on her thighs, whilst Ellie just stood there with her legs apart. Little curses fell from both girls' lips. When Andie finally decided to look back up at her companion, she immediately averted her gaze into the distance.
"Shit, Ellie!" She raised her voice, earning a very much confused look from her friend. Andie was now shutting her eyes, with blush spreading across her face. Ellie stared at her dumbfounded, before realising what was going on.
"You realise that I'm not the only one in my underwear right now, yeah?" She let out a breathy chuckle. Andie's head immediately shot up, before looking down on herself. With no idea how this was even still possible, the blush only intensified, changing the hue of her cheeks to practically coral red. She helplessly used her arms to cover up her body.
"Stop looking, you pervert!" She commanded Ellie, who wasn't even trying to hide her gaze. In response, the taller girl chuckled once again, turning around to give the girl some privacy, as well as to retrieve her own clothes.
The tension was immense. But while Andie was getting more anxious with every second, Ellie enjoyed it. What could've been taken as a red flag that she had, was that she loved making people flustered. She would lie if she said that it sometimes led to unrequited feelings, because yeah, she was leading poor girl on, but she just couldn't help it.
With Andie it felt really satisfying, mostly because the girl was more shy and timid than her. Dina was much harder to fluster. Dina was confident and open. With her it was more of a competition. It was a very much switch dynamic, although Ellie often took the dominant stick. But that's what she loved.
But even someone like her liked to be vulnerable sometimes. And that's exactly why Dina was perfect. She was all she could ever ask for.

Once both girl had their clothes on, the night was already starting to take over the sky above them. After their refreshing bathing experience with an unfortunate ending, and ten minutes of running, both girls were feeling tired. They both agreed to gather some wood to start a fire. When Andie came back with her share of tinder, she found Ellie already starting the fire, with her lighter.
She threw the twigs onto the previously made pile, after which she sat herself in proximity to her companion. She watched as the flame grew bigger with each passing second. Ellie turned to look at Andie. Because she was sitting slightly behind her, it was possible that she didn't notice her gaze. Besides the brunette looked at the fire like she was in deep thought herself anyway.
In Ellie's eyes, Andie was a very strange person. Yeah she was pretty. Very pretty. But the quality that was most attractive to Ellie was her undiscovered personality. It was like a whole adventure, meeting new people. Sometimes the adventure didn't turn out to be very interesting, since some people have very shallow personalities. But just from the two weeks spent together, Ellie could tell that in order to explore her friends' characteristics to the fullest she'd need a whole diving equipment and a lot of time.
