TWO MORE DAYS HAVE PASSED since Ellie informed her friend of the motive behind her voyage. And Andie was non-stop thinking about it. She was torn. If she chose to tell Ellie of her sister, she'd probably lose her, and the only thing keeping her going would be Abby.

On the other hand, regarding the fact that Ellie knew who her sister was, it was probably mutual. And it wasn't likely that she really liked Ellie. So if Abby were to find out that her sister and her enemy are friends, things wouldn't go well with her.

So in the end, Andie had a choice to make— her long time crush, that she only started to become friends with, or her only left blood family that she's never met before. And so that's why she couldn't decide or think about anything else.

Ellie on the other hand was simply confused. Why was Andie acting so strange? Was it something she said? Wether she liked to admit it or not, she grew to really like Andie. Two weeks spent in isolation with only one person really could bring two people close together. It really was true that trauma bonds people the fastest - for them it being near death experiences with infected and hunters, of course.

Ellie hated being alone and Andie's presence comforted her. So then why was she acting so different? She couldn't help but feel strange and slightly guilty. But so did Andie.

She didn't want to lose either of them. Because what if her sister turned out to be mean or cruel? Or what if Ellie will drop their friendship the moment she gets what she wants? It was way to early to be making this decision. For now, she wanted both. And she noticed how she's affected Ellie.

She knew that Ellie was aware of their distance. She had to show her somehow that she really did care about her. Just, how?

The two girls were walking in a steady pace, not rushing too much. Based on the road signs they encountered Andie figured that they'd be soon leaving Idaho.

She took out her map in which she marked any interesting spots that she could visit if she had time, ideal routs to not get herself in too much danger and little doodles along with small notes. She scanned her work to localise her position as of now.

When she finally did so, she realised that not so far ahead was a place she really wanted to visit, circling it in red pen and little exclamation marks. She looked up at Ellie and an idea struck.

"Hey El?" She asked using the nickname she made for her. One night they were both very bored so they decided to make them. Andie was now stuck with Ands.

"Yeah? What's up? Are you tired? Do you want a break?" Ellie quickly came to conclusions and voiced them with worry.

"What? No, I wanted to ask you something else." Andie corrected her with a small smile, glad that Ellie seemingly cared for her. "Oh yeah? Shoot."

"So, I wanted to uh.. stop somewhere on our way." Andie started unsure of how she should say it.

"Okay.. where is it?" Ellie continued, trying to find out further information about this place.
