Tuwang-tuwa ang chikiting.
Miya can't avert her gaze from Aldrine and Chi having fun on their own little world.
Aldrine is seated with legs crossed on the floor while Chi is sat the same way on Aldrine's lap. The box of Polychromos on the coffee table has been opened, and there are a swarm of blank papers on the floor.
Yuna
Alam na ba nina Doc Cy?
Miya
Hindi pa siguro nababanggit ni Aldrine. After knowing about Chi, he filed a sudden week leave.
Miya
He hasn't been going out since then.
Mafeh
Taray. The doctor is out, the Dada is in.
Yuna
I can't imagine how people will react if they happen to know na may anak na pala si Doc. That's . . . quite a news.
Mafeh
Hindi pa alam ng mga Santimera?
Miya slowly shakes her head.
Mafeh
E ng Mama't Daddy mo?
Miya shakes her head once again. She sips on her glass of juice gradually, but the taste does not seem to register on her palate with everything else going on in her head.
Mafeh
Ay, talaga nga namang magkakagulo ang sanlibutan.
Yuna
Hindi pa alam nila Tita? How come? Hindi sila nag-vi-visit?
Miya
Nope. Tumatawag, oo. Para itanong kung kumusta si Chi. After hearing na okay lang 'yong apo nila, ayos na 'yon para sa kanila.
Hindi naman sila madalas lumuwas ng Maynila. Kami pa nga 'yong pumupunta sa kanila, 'di ba?
