Chapter Nine: Going to Endor

(Peeta's POV)

"Daddy!"

I turn around from where I'm standing in front of the entrance to the Millennium Falcon and see Rye and Willow running up to me.

They run into my arms and I hold them tight.

Willow holds me tight still after Rye pulls away. "I love you Daddy."

I pick her up and her legs dangle over the ground. I walk onto the ship and sit down in the co-pilot seat.

The two of us seem to zone out for a while, because pretty soon, we're running through hyperspace.

We pull away and Willow walks around my seat and sits behind me.

I look at Han from the corner of my eye. He smirks at me. "You a little clingy huh, Bread Boy?"

"How did you know that?"

"Katniss told Leia, who told me."

I roll my eyes and lay back in my chair. "I wish I hadn't even been in the Games. I'm such a weakling."

"Hey, I've seen you survive a Stormtrooper attack. Not many people survive those. You're definitely not a weakling if you also have two fake limbs."

I again roll my eyes and Willow giggles. "But Han, haven't you even seen Darth Vader? He had all fake limbs. He survived just as well."

"But he died."

"You know that's Luke and Leia's father, well he was anyways. Aren't you supposed to be paying attention you dimwit?" Willow asks.

"You don't take no for an answer, do you Willow?" Han asks.

"Basically," she answers with a smirk.

I look around, basically dumbfounded.

Trees.

They're everywhere.

Just like the first Games.

Now, Peeta, don't you go into a flashback now.

I shut my eyes and ease myself to calm myself down before opening my eyes again.

I'm ready.
