The clouds looked awful as rain was expected today. Luckily Jayden's classes were finally over for the day and she was relieved. It has been around 9 months since Her friend Tavin left, and it has been getting harder around the Academy without his support. The girl knew that she couldn't rely on him for everything. But it was nice when Tavin always brought joyful enthusiasm around them. She would be lying if she said she didn't miss him. What she thought was crazy was how fast Tavin rose up in the Time Patrol ranks, and how quickly his name spread like wildfire. During lessons, Jayden would overhear others talking about him and his victories against powerful adversaries from history. They also talked about some other individual and how he got fired from the Time Patrol and arrested, But Jayden didn't care about that so she never looked into it.

Jayden glances at the grayish-dark clouds above her, small flashes are seen within followed by faraway and delayed sounds of Thunder. Jayden wanted to go to the grocery store after her classes today. So she needed to hurry if she didn't want to get bathed in rain. The Saiyan girl quickly rushed to the store arriving within 10 minutes, She could have made it there in less than a minute if she had flown, but she still hadn't acquired a flying license. Jayden looked within the store grabbing some basic needs, a small amount of food, drinks, etc. Just enough to carry along and last today and tomorrow. She would grab more if she wasn't in a rush.

Female Store Clerk: "Will this be all for you young lady?"

Jayden: "Yes."

The store clerk was an older woman around her 50s. The woman was one of the few people to show respect to Jayden and sometimes talked to her. But Jayden wasn't really into conversations today. So she pays 20 zenny for her two bags of groceries, waves goodbye, then leaves.

The wind starts to pick up trying to blow Jayden's bags away. She gets a stern grip on them and starts to book it home, as she feels the first few raindrops fall on her nose.

Jayden:  (Darn it. Of course it's raining now.)

She lifts her left arm over her head, in an attempt to shield herself from the now dreaded downpour. She was getting drenched in rain and was already sick of it. Then she remembered there was a shortcut to the Dorms on the right of the sidewalk she was on.

Jayden: (There.)

She stops spriting and slightly slips forward from the growing puddles. But the Saiyan gets going again taking her detour to the right. After a couple of turns, she finds herself in a long alleyway. The daylight shined at the end of the alleyway Illuminating some of the walls. A little bit of graffiti is spray painted on the walls of the alleyway, but the girl pays no mind to it as she continues to get rained on, so she keeps moving forward. She sprinted and sprinted, but wasn't close to the exit.

Jayden: (long ass alleyway.)

Jayden continued sprinting and sprinting and still didn't reach the exit.

Jayden: (How am I not out yet?)

She decided since no one was around to use some ki to greatly increase her speed. But still made no progress. The alleyway continued to stretch as daylight was still far from reach.

Jayden: (Something is wrong? This isn't right.)

The girl stops to analyze the situation. She looks behind at where she came from and has made it halfway through the alleyway. For how fast she had been moving she could have run out of the alleyway, past the academy, and out of the city by now. Though it appeared as if she had been running in place. This puzzled her as well as how suddenly the rain stopped.
