You walked through the dark city, the sound of moist rocks being crushed under your feet with every step you take.
You hear the rain pitter patter around you as your e/c eyes look around at the beautiful scenery, you loved rain, and I mean loved it. The amount of peace it delivers sent the best shivers down your spine as you smiled.
But, there it was again.. the flash of your past life, and it was you.. hugging a black.. alien? Quickly shaking your head, you ignored the flashes and just kept walking.
A sigh of relief escaped your lips as you admired the beautiful dark sky, the rain that planted on your h/c hair as you spun around.
The road, sidewalks, alleyways, everything was dead. Not a soul in sight as everyone was either asleep or working late. You were supposed to sleep, but you were a night owl, exploring the dangerous turns of each corner, the dangers of the darkest hours, but none of that mattered to you.
You had the lights from the lamp posts, the lights from the stop lights, and the lights from various buildings to help you feel safe. At night was really the only time you felt safe or secure. You connected with night-time in a way that you just couldn't explain.
A smile plastered onto your face while walking further down the street. You felt so happy that it was hard to contain it, but all that was cut off when you heard a familiar voice...
"Y/N...?" You heard a deep, raspy yet terrifying voice call out.
Hearing that caused you to quickly snap your head towards that direction, jesus, you snapped your head so fast that you could've gotten whiplash from it!
"W-What!? Who's there!?" You said, debating whether you should turn your heels and bolt for it. Or stay and see who called out to you..
Visibly, you were terrified and scared, not knowing what to do. I mean, for God's sake!? You just heard a voice say your name, and it sounded familiar! I'd be terrified, too!
But anyway..
You looked around until you landed your eyes on a huge figure behind you. you were scared since the light didn't luminate who was talking to you.
"STEP INTO THE LIGHT!" You shouted, glaring at the figure that was blanketed by the dark.
They slowly walked into the faded light. It barely illuminated his figure and showed you who it was.
"W-What..?" You said, terrified while your bottom lip quivered.
You had the strangest feeling of who he was. It was confusing.. you thought that maybe he had the wrong person?
"Y/N..." He said, realizing who you were as you never changed from the last time he saw you..
Everything hit you at once. You straightened up while staring at him in shock. The air was thick while it felt like your whole past life played behind the figure you stared at.
You tried so hard not to hyperventilate while finally understanding who you were looking at...
"V-Venom..." You gasped out, still staring at him in shock.
His smile widened at you while kneeling down, opening his dark, slimey, yet muscular arms for you to run into.
Immediately, you took that chance and jumped into his arms, the water finally doing its work while you hugged the bigger figure tightly.
You both have been together through countless past lives.. yet it never stopped your love from always finding him, finding the man who haunted your dreams, that stalked your mind, that made you feel like time stopped.
Yet, every time you died in one past life, that didn't stop your next life. Every life you had to grow in never held you down.
You both considered each other a "lost love" every time you passed away. Yet the love was sweeter every time you were found.
The embrace seemed to last forever for you both to enjoy your company. Soft sobs and breaths can be heard from you as the hug tightened.
He finally put you down, and you backed away, wiping your tears as you took a deep breath.
"How did you find me?" You questioned.
He smiled at you and kissed you, you immediately becoming a light red with the fact that you didn't expect it.
"Not even past lives can stop the love I feel for you..."
You cried quietly while staring at him.
"I love you, Y/N" He muttered in his raspy tone.
"I love you-"
But before you could finish your sentence, you jolted up, gasping and looking around. Only to realize it was all a dream as you wiped your tears that you shed while sleeping.
"No.. no no no.." You muttered to yourself while more tears shedded from your eyes.
You didn't want to wake up, you wanted to live in that dream like state, while you remembered everything... you just sat there and sighed.
"Hopefully, we'll run into each other again, my symbiote," you mumbled into the air that was thick with a sad aura...
