As you curled into a ball, holding onto your knees close to your face as you whimpered while tears were on the verge of falling down your face.
The pain you felt on your chest was something you didn't think you'd have to live with. The thought that Venom was missing out there somewhere.. it terrified you.
"Y/N?" A tired voice said at your doorway.
Glancing up, you saw Eddie at a pretty bad condition. His eyes had really dark bags, his hair looked a mess, and he looked like he hadn't had a second of peace ever since Venom disappeared.
"H-Hm..?" You said in between sniffles, you didn't want to cry, you felt weak if you cried, but god damnit, did it hurt you knowing that he was gone.
He let out a troubled sigh and walked towards you, sitting at the edge of your bed..
"Listen, I know he disappeared, but you can't sit here and sulk all day. He would want you to get up and live your life, with or without him here." He said in a caring tone..
A sniffle escaped while looking at him, and the tears that once built up in your e/c eyes fell. He was right. Venom wouldn't want you to sulk over him all the time, but you felt so empty without him there.
You loved Eddie as a friend. He understood your pain cause he was currently experiencing the same thing, Venom being gone haunted the both of you. You both couldn't get sleep without getting irritated that his presence wasn't near.
Standing up, you wiped your tears away with your sleeves and stepped out of your room for the first time in the past two weeks.
Looking around only gave you memories of you two giggling together or him arguing with Eddie in the dumbest ways. It haunted your head as your bottom lip quivered and tried so hard not to cry again.
'God damnit! Stop crying!' You mentally punched yourself.
Grabbing your purse and keys, you walked out of the old apartment and walked down the creaking stairs, each step only rising your anxiety as you were scared that a step would snap on you.
Eddie waved bye to you, and you waved bye back. Straightening up, you walked towards the street and down the sidewalk, trying so hard not to cry as everything reminded you of Venom.
It was pretty late at night. The streets were almost dead except for a few old cars driving past you to their destinations.
Sadly, the memories that haunted your mind also made you know a certain pathway like the back of your hand. You just had to find it.
Around 10 minutes go by, and you finally find yourself walking on that path away from the city and through an empty land with a river nearby.
Even though it was nighttime, the moon that shined, oh so bright on the land, made it look 10x prettier than in the day.
You heard every step on the ground beneath you. It sounded peaceful and made you feel complete. As you heard, the river's aggressive waves crash into the rocks. The crash of each wave gave you euphoria.
Taking a deep breath, you took a different path and walked towards the river as the memories of you and Venom rough housing on the great open field fogged your mind.
Once you arrived at the river, you sat by it and watched the waves crash as you had more memories of Venom splashing you with the water, you laughing hysterically as you splashed him back.
"Where'd you go..?" You questioned to yourself in a hushed tone, the pain of his disappearance still stabbing your weak heart.
You were getting older and needed someone to rely on, and that someone was Venom, a black gooey alien that you cared deeply for.
You were getting tired of missing him as it was putting your mental health so low, but before you could get back on your feet, you needed somewhere to begin.
When it was time to explore a different area, you got up and walked up the path and followed down a different path.
Following that path, you found the old tree you and Venom used to hang off of! But.. it was a fallen tree now... You started to cry, walking up to it as the branches stared at you, putting your hands on the trunk that once held the tree up in all its glory.
You collapsed to your knees and sobbed by the tree, gasping for air as all hell broke lose, and your emotions went wild.
"Fuck, Venom, come back damn you!" You screamed into the air, you really did miss him, it didn't matter to you what form he was in, you missed him like hell.
The trunk you held onto just brought back each memory of how you guys used to hold each other, cuddle, or even kiss underneath the leaves. You fucking hated it, you hated the memories you're not haunted with, you hated that he just disappeared.
Self-doubt started to come to your mind.
'What if you fought instead? He would be here still, you would be gone, Eddie would be happy!' You thought to yourself and smiled at that thought.
"Venom, would you be happy if I was gone instead of you?" You questioned while your head leaned on the tree.
Yet no response came. You began to shake as more sobs can be heard from you.
Standing up, shaking from the amount of tears that you shed, you walked down the path. It started off as a walk before it picked up the pace to a run. You wanted a place only you two knew, a place where you both would go to relax.
You ran faster and faster, determined to see if he was there.
Around 20 minutes later, you made it, gasping for air while also sobbing to look around at a beautiful Lilly of the Valley area, a beautiful flower that a lot of people forget existed.
You gasped softly at how beautiful each bloom was, tears peaking in your eyes as you calmed down.
Continuing your adventure, you walked down the pathway that was decorated by the flowers onto a circular open area.
Sitting down in the middle of it, you imagined that Venom was next to you as you tilted your head, wanting to cry again but had to resist.
You waited, waited, and waited until eventually the sun started to rise.
He never came. He really was gone, wasn't he?
The cold morning breeze brushed against you as a shiver went down your spine, and you gasped at the feeling.
You looked around as the breeze gently pushed the blossoms, and as you sighed. This was a nice change of pace, the beautiful sunrise, the chilly air, the pathways, everything was clashing against each other perfectly and blended to make a beautiful mental image to keep.
While admiring the view, you slowly forgot everything in that moment, and everything around you seemed just right.
You couldn't help it but crack a smile.
Taking in a deep sigh of relief, you looked up into the sky to see a beautiful orange blend in with the dark, laying back and reaching your hand into the air.
"Venom, if you are out there, wherever you are.. come back to me, I don't care how, or what way, just please come back to me.." You muttered into the sky, missing his presence once again, but you didn't cry this time. You were just smiling. You had hope...
"One day, Y/N, one day..." A low and raspy voice can be heard.
Venom was watching you from afar. He was so proud of you..
Even if he was in the clouds, he was so proud...
