Under Pressure

Life at the firehouse got very uncomfortable. It was very awkward between my siblings and the bots. We hadn't told them about me being alien too. I planned to tonight. Before that I had to help deal with a runaway lawn mower. I was rollerblading, trying to catch up with the thing so I could try and hit its off switch.

Chase: You will be compensated for any damages, citizen.

Chief: Attention, Rescue Team. Robo-landscaper, out of control.

Gear: Get you butts out here! Or so help me!

Chief: Where you at, Burns Family?

Cody: Uh, might be awhile.

Gear: For crying out loud.

It turned into an alleyway. Dad and Chase went in firsts. I quickly transformed my arms into blasters and blasted at the thing which somehow got behind them. Chase quickly transformed and threw it into a dumpster.

Chase: You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you. And you will not be compensated for any damages.

Then Blades arrived with Heatwave and Boulder following him.

Dani: We missed it didn't we?

Chief: What kept you all?

Kade: Our rides wouldn't let us drive. They're slowing us down.

Gear: So that allows you and your partner to be late to a rescue. Don't go blaming everything on your partner.

Heatwave transformed into his bot form pretty quickly after that.

Heatwave: Fast enough for you?

Kade: Let me out! Or I'm gonna hurl.

Heatwave transformed back reluctantly.

Kade: Never again.

Chief: Look, I know were all adjusting to being a team, learning about each other, but it'll go a lot smoother if we work together.

Kade: I signed up to rescue people, not make nice with machines.

That last comment actually really hurt. Even though he doesnt know I'm an alien, it still hurts. I quickly left the scene and headed back to the firehouse. I went to my room and started to cry.

Gear: Why can't they just get along?

I decided to go downstairs for something to eat when I hear Kade and Cody talking.

Kade: It's not a he, Cody. It's a truck.

That just stung even more. How will he react when he learns I'm an alien too? Will he call me an "it too? I just went back to my room and stressed out about telling them. Cody decided to literally drag me out of my room and into the elevator with our other siblings following behind us. When we got to the bunker, we all left the elevator although I was still being dragged.

Kade: This is the amazing thing we had to see? The bunker? We've been here a thousand times.

Dani: Not in years. Oh, I used to love to play down here. Remember when you got lost in the tunnels, Kade?

Graham: Wonder if I could beat my old score.

Gear: Remy! I thought I lost you. How did I never notice you?

I hugged my stuffed dragon to my chest. I noticed that Cody was moving towards where the secret communication chamber is. Then out popped Blades.
