20th December, 2006.

Well, things after that dinner were weird, awkward, uncomfortable, or all of the above.

It started with Raj avoiding me, and Naveen trying to stop that while pulling Parth into every conversation, while Abhimanyu tried to maintain peace (i.e., tried to stop Raj from murdering Naveen). Gunny and B.C. had their weird version of the Mexican stand-off with Bade Papa helping Gunny.

Chote Papa on the other hand was managing the trial while keeping the rest of the faculty in check. Who knew Mogambo knew how to read lips and would try to plot with Doc, like seriously woh dono kab se besties ban gaye? Shayad main alternative dimension mai aa gayi hun.

At least Aalekh is getting some much-needed rest. Who am I kidding between Akriti, Ananya, Aaryan, Parth, and Rummy, I would be surprised if he didn't go mad or have a complete personality change. They've got Aalekh wearing Polo T-shirts now. But he has been a good influence as well, Rummy and Anaya are becoming more serious, Parth has started to relax more and Aaryan and Akriti got someone to conspire with. Their latest project is for someone named Raina ?? I've no idea who that poor soul is and neither do I have the time to find out.

After all, I have to host the remaining super-six, the faculty, and my crazies for the rest of the holidays. That's right Dad decided to invite all of them for this year's corporate party. He wants some kind faces when he announces Parth's engagement so that he has some genuine well-wishers. Which is nice, but Dad, Bade Papa, Chote Papa, B.C., and Mogambo in one room just seems like a recipe for disaster. For Parth's sake, I hope ki koi bada dhamaka na ho.

Shalini's POV:

Mujhe toh pata hi nahi tha ki humare Captains itne secretive aur romantic ho sakte hai. I mean Capt. Rajveer ka Naina ka itna sweetly khayal rakhna, woh bhi 'secretly', was so cute....  That's right, hum faculty members (baring Nair and B.C.) ko pata tha, but suprisingly it was Naina's mentor that told us to leave them alone. She did give us all a scare with that assassination attempt, par I think the only one that came close to Capt.'s care was Aalekh and that was purely platonic. Shayad ek dusri life mai Aalekh aur Naina sach ke bhai-bhen hote.

Par Capt. Abhimanyu completely blindsided me. Woh hamesha se hi ek soft soul or inherently romantic toh lagte hi the, but the fact that he was dating someone completely blew us away. Kisi ko bhi iss bare mai nahi pata tha, unke Raj aur Naveen ko bhi nahi. Now I feel guilty of trying to set him and Rajveer up with Ritu. But who can change the past. Thank god maine Capt. Randhawa, Gunny, ke saath yeh nahi kiya warna meri aur unki baat toh shuru hone se pehle hi khatam ho jaati. After all Ritu ke aage woh mujhe thodi na notice karte.

Coming back to Capt. Abhimanyu, unki story kitni romantic hai, its something out of a book! He met his girlfriend Akriti, when he was mandated leave after a mission. She was an assistant director in the group who had come there to make a documentary on Jaisalmer's annual fair. They met, he showed her around and smoothed things out but neglected to tell her ki woh waah ke royal family ko belong karte hai. They hit a small hiccup when she found out but eventually they started dating. Despite his postings and her schedule they managed to maintain a long distance relationship. Which is just so romantic. I know ek long distance relationship ko maintain karne mai kitni mehnat aur sacrifices lagte hai, par usse ke saath infact usse zyaada ek right partner bhi lagta hai. Aur yeh right partner sab ko nahi milta. I'm happy ki Capt. ko yeh right partner milla.
