Ch. 6 - He can't be Cole... right?

Past Kai's P.O.V

Being attacked and stuff can be fun. These new killing bots are called Nindroids, well that's what Jay calls them and I honestly don't care. But that Brooke guy... How did he know about me and Cole's relationship? I've been thinking about it for ages and me and the team haven't even seen the Brooke guy for like a few days, he's so weird even his elemental power is different and I don't know what it is.

"What do guys think about Brooke?" Jay asked, daydreaming into the sky. I looked at the others who were shocked by the question. We were heading towards his parents junkyard and it is a long way, so I guess he's just trying to pass the time.

"I think he is from the future and has helped us," Lloyd replied, getting 'same here' from Zane.

"I don't trust him, his elemental power was weird and dark," I said.

"Yeah my dad said something about Brooke being a Death Bringer," Lloyd added. And I knew it! This Brooke guy is going to bring death to us and no one except us can stop him.

"I think we can trust him," Cole? I forgot Cole was in the Future for a while. But how does he think we can trust him? I was too busy thinking, I think I didn't hear one of the team ask Cole why.

"Well in the future the Monastery was rebuilt and there were memorials of all the big fights in history including the tornado of creation, but there was one with this green skull thing, with someone else and Brooke was fighting them and you guys, me and Nya were in a cage. So Brooke probably saved us," Cole explained. The only problem in Cole's explanation was that I figured out how to tell when he's lying and he wasn't in the cage with the rest of us. I don't like that Cole's lying to us or well just me, but he has to have a good reason for lying. "So yeah I trust him," Cole added with a big cute smile on his face. Sometimes I just can't stand Cole's cuteness.

"So should we try find him since APPARENTLY he was at SENSEI GARMADON'S MONASTERY!" I kinda over exaggerated with my sentence but still.

"Who are you going to look for?" That voice? I knew it, it came from... I looked back and saw Brooke standing behind us. We all were shocked and all Brooke did was stare at. Me?

"How much did you hear?" Zane asked, getting the stare from Brooke. I feel like I've seen that stare from somewhere, all I know is that I can't trust this guy.

"Uhhh the last bit," Brooke replied and for some reason I could tell he was lying, he, he lies like Cole and now that I think about it he looks alot like Cole.

"You're lying," I spat and I just remembered I should've kept that thought to myself. Brooke stared at me directly and gave me a small soft smile like Cole did when I figured out about his mum. No way, Brooke couldn't be. I think my eyes widened with the truth and realisation.

Brooke was my boyfriend Cole.

"NO FLIPPING WAY IN NINJAGO!?" I yelled at the top of my lungs backing away from Brooke or Cole- I don't know. I tripped on something and fell on my butt, but I hope my guess is wrong.

"What happened Kai? Are you okay?" Cole, the past Cole asked, helping me stand up and he looked at me with his soft black eyes.

"Yeah- no, I don't know anymore," I said, staring into his eyes.

"So nice to meet the actual team minus one but still," Brooke said, but what did he mean by minus one? The rest of the team looked at Brooke with confusion. "Also my name is Brooke Spark," He added, oh wait! He's Cole from the future I think.

"Are you sure you aren't lying?" Jay asked, not liking being lied to.

"I'm sure, but you never know," He replied, shrugging with a smirk.

"I don't want to be right about this," I whispered to myself, praying my suspicion wasn't right.

After a few days or weeks of interesting and boring stuff, the team was in SPACE!!. Turns out I was captured, Brooke laughed and didn't do anything except for insulting us.

"How are we gonna get back?" I groaned, looking over at Brooke who was laughing his butt off. I had a slight feeling the answer was right in front of us but all there was in front of us were the broken and destroyed ships... The ships?

"What are you thinking about?" Jay asked, walking over to me, while getting a bug off him. "We're stranded and have no way home," he added, starting to get on my nerves.

"I don't know, but Brookes being annoying with all his laughing," I responded, pointing over to where Brooke was still giggling.

"Yeah he's annoying all of us," Lloyd chimed in, speaking for Zane, Cole and himself. The odd part is that he leaves when we're around other people he hasn't met yet, like Sensei Wu, that new nindroid Pixel, Nya and Misako.

"He left," Zane said, taking me out of my thoughts while he walked over. What did he mean 'He Left'? I looked around when I couldn't hear Brooke giggling or laughing his butt off.

"Brooke is gone?" Jay asked, getting a nod from Zane and Lloyd was still in a bit of shock.

"Did he find a way to leave?" Lloyd asked, getting a shrug from Zane.

"He probably used his staff," Cole added, and he was right. Brooke's staff means he can teleport.

"WHAT!?" The rest of us consisted of Lloyd, Jay, Zane and myself. I think we forgot about that.

"Wait the ships! We can make a rocket and get home!" I Explained in a bit of a yell.

{MASSIVE TIMESKIP}

So we are now going to battle the freakin OVERLORD for the SECOND time now!!

We were all on the roof and Brooke created his portal from behind us and whispered something into Zane's ear and left. It was odd but then Zane had told us to support him in whatever he was planning. We all made a way for Zane to get to the Overlord and he started using his ICE ON HIM!! We were now on the floor and Zane was going to overload.

"HE'S GOING TO OVERLOAD!!"

"GET OUT OF THERE ZANE!!"

Next thing you know... Zane's gone and it was after Brooke had told him something. Now I know that Brooke isn't Cole. It made me angry that I had once thought Brooke was my amazing Boyfriend.

"No.." I looked over at Cole who was tearing up, He had also seen Brooke whisper to Zane. I walked over to Cole and hugged him and he gladly returned the hug.

"Sorry about that, Little Cole," Brooke whispered behind me and Cole. I quickly turned to him and kicked him in the gut as hard as I could.

"KAI!" Sensei Garmadon yelled as Jay went to check up on Brooke who had fallen over. "Why in the name of the First Spinjitzu Master would you kick a civilian?" He yelled, he seemed distressed and Brooke walked to me and bowed?

"It's okay sir, I think I am to blame for that," Brooke replied, looking at me with Cole's sweet smile. "I told him that his plan would work," He added. I hated this guy, my gut told him he was Cole and that there was a good reason, but my brain says to not trust this guy and that he talked Zane into his death.

"Kai... I need to tell you something," Cole whispered. He lent near me and whispered in my ear. "Brooke is me from the future,"

"WHAT!? NO!" I yelled, turning back to Brooke who had been bombed with questions by Sensei Wu. Brooke seemed happy to see Sensei Wu? Why? "YOU!" I yelled pointing at Brooke. He snapped his head looking at me and he looked at Cole then back at me. He found out Cole told me.

"I'll explain to the team in about a few weeks,"

He disappeared.
